Festivals comes in next turn. Uberfish declared war on Ilios, wasn't he supposed to wait like 20 more turns? Also when should I start building up the military? The capital can pump like one warrior out a turn, but I don't want to burden the empire with crippling solider upkeep fees.

Once the capital does a market, i think that's the time to start Military. The extra city should have increased soldier upkeep.
Anyway, i'm taking a look at the save in about 30 minutes time ( gotta transfer it back...) will give you my opinions then.

Interesting.
The market is a one turn build, no problem there... Now... let's look at Military.
Our unit costs are currently costing us -4 per turn, which is quite bad. The new city might account for the 4, back to nil... which is all our police defense.
So here's my counter. The capital is capable of building none other then 2-turn drowns, and thus, we will be using drowns + super warrior to attack, rather than cheap 1-turn warrior which will suffocate us in finances.
Moving on, now that the two workers have finished the mine, plantation the other cotton first. The borders will take some turns to expand, and we need military to defend that copper site. Send over one or two more warriors, and use two or three of them to defend the workers mining the copper, depending on units around them. The archers and animals won't (probably for the archers) attack the units, but that's for just in case.
Once Cerulean finishes the work boats needed, and builds a market, start a worker. We need quite a few more. Fishing Parch should continue towards a Market as well, which will take some time to finish given it's no hammer state.
The new city should go market - Elder council. Only the capital should be used in Military, since it has the hammers required (nice mine). Furthermore, we're already drowning (Heh) in unit support costs, so i don't want to further drown.

Although they require a special building, swords might make more sense than drown since they're 20 hammers cheaper & get a (slight) city attack bonus.
Are you playing the turns now?

I still can't since it takes me like 2 hours to play a single turn, and once per 2 days =(
Unfortunately, Lanun has no business at all building a training yard. Their champions come from the sea haven (glorified harbor) rather than a training yard, so swords just don't make sense at all, especially since we need units quickly rather then as a long term plan.

I'm... not playing the turns in perpetuity, am I? I mean I'll try to play as long as you need me to, but I don't want to risk screwing up your game if situations come up which go beyond the mandates you outline here.
Good point on the training yard, didn't realize boarding parties don't need them. Under nationalism one will give you +1 happy tho, and it will pay back for itself in hammer costs pretty quickly since you'll save 20 hammers for every sword that you build instead of a drown, so I think it's still worth considering, at least in the capital.
A possible long-term strategy I was thinking of- set Mind Stapling as the next tech, attack Ilios with the super warrior, Saverous, and a few random swords / drown / warriors. Goal of the war should be territorial concessions and rights to the Empyrean. Then research the Empyrean, but don't convert. Instead, make your way to Fanatacism for the Stygian Guard and Basium. The Lanun can stick with the Overlords for their military, while Basium (under human control) gets to run around with Chalid. Basium could also temporarily run the Order to get Valin to a high level of exp and then killed off, for a super-angel. Victory should be hopefully attainable via conquest once you've got both Empyrean and Overlords-based armies up & running. Most of this has been discussed at various times earlier in the thread, but now it's actually coming time to start making decisions and implementing a grand plan.

I'm also starting to lose my sanity without a computer for 2 weeks here =)
Hmm... i'll think long-term later. For now the main priority is rather then getting Ilios to concede on several things, i want to gobble his land instead =)
Go for Mind Stapling. In any event, we will need Saverous for defense, if not for attack.

So, i boasted that i had more than enough happy resources, but not enough health.

I'm really caught here.
See, on one hand, i want to grow. I prefer to ignore everyone else and grow, and my land is really good. I have place for at least 4 more excellent cities, which i can get now since i have Sailing.
On the other hand... if i don't join in, i'm screwed. The chances of them attacking me rather than Ilios is actually really high. And furthermore Ilios now is really vulnarable, warrior defenders only (he got Archery but no sign of Archery Ranges).
So... solution. They said 200 Hammers. Saverous is 120 Hammers, Swordies are 40. Erm, 1 Saverous + 2 Swordies = 200?
Goddamn, that's too little =( Too easily noticed that i'm sending too little, especially since the Calabrim are complaining.
1 Saverous + 3 Swordies + 2 Warriors stolen from city garrison = Yeah!
In fact, my super warrior will stay behind with the Great Commander. The Axe will be given to Saverous though, but i need some defense, just in case of barbs. :neenernee (More of an excuse to keep a GC just in case).
So... finish the Training Yard, build 3 Swords, build Saverous, while the other cities... build Workers + Settlers + Work Boats
I want to come out from this war as the clear winner, with at least 6 cities (2 more from now), and enough Military to prove to be a threat (With a Str 9 Saverous with Blitz/Mobility i think that's enough heh.)
Anyway, next time the save comes i'll show pictures of my map, with a dotmap included!

Score one for the Balseraphs!
According to Ilios, Serdoa demanded 2 workers from him, and when he refused, used Loki to dismantle a city, heh.
