Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

[SPOILERS] A threesome becomes a twosome

Kyan - we're up and I need to know what to do. Do I settle in place or move 1 tile south and settle there?

You didn't ask me, but I'd say it's a tough call. I think 1S is a better spot, but I'd hate to have you move blindly into the danger zone with just a single warrior escort.

It is not about security. The chances of having spider there are very low. It is mainly about where Kyan would settle his gift city. If we're afraid enough, moving Mud golem there is an option.

I'm not just worried about spiders: there's still a killer griffon in the area. There also could be other animals. I hate having settlers eaten by lions, tigers and bears.

We see everything in 2 tile radius and there aren't any barbs visible.

Alright - I'll play it like assuming that we plant according to the latest plan and also make it as safe as possible and move both Mud golem and warrior on defense. At least this allows starting to improve Corn immediately after setttling.

Kyan I would advise starting a road towards the new city with your worker. I'll build now few warriors to secure the cities planted by me and Kyan. DaveV - I hope you handle the city you're planting at least for now.

Oops. I missed that.

Sounds good.

You mean you want me to garrison it? I'd planned on leaving my two warriors there. It will take me a few turns to crank out some more - I figure I'll be able to produce 12 hammers at max hammers, bumped up to 13 by Nationhood.

My worker should be available after he finishes the road on the corn tile: do you have anything for a slow worker to do?

Finally: do you want the city on the grassland forest tile or the plains tile with the sign?

I'd like you to take care of security of that city so that I would have possibilities to build e.g. Mud golems and scouts to move my hammers. I trust to your insticts concerning the amount and quality of troops there.

It could go farming tiles that are shared between my cities. However I think you've couple of things on your capital you could still do e.g. improving sugar to raise your happy cap and farming flood plains. You could also start thinking where your next cities would go and maybe add some improvements in that direction.

Grassland forest feels better. making defending easier and sharing resources.

Do we need a tech to enable resource trading between allies? If I'm claiming all 3 coppers that might be a bit problematic in that respect.
