[SPOILERS] Team EggHeads: DMOC and TeddyKGB (Now Lurker-Friendly!)

Nice, the scout won without even getting a scratch! I suggest 7-9, but after that we really need to head back east. Please update us with a screenshot after the move. smile

From the MFG it looks like the 3 expansive teams might all be working the same tiles, i.e. 3H plains hill.

my attempt at a dotmap

cities in white are ones where we know most of the terrain, cities in red are ones that hopefully have more resources in their fat cross

please critique and correct smile Don't be afraid to tell me if my placements are rubbish, since that's how I'll learn.
the rice city could go across the water to waste less tiles in the middle of our civ, but I was trying to reclaim the desert.

Now that land is looking good. Lots of rivers, forests, and grasslands --- such a shame we won't be able to setle there for a while. I've also got a hunch that our scout is near a lake area like our capital (large lake with river coming out of it), so maybe our scout is even close to making first contact? Maybe go 9 next turn? It does use up both movement points, but we end up in a forest and we can see more tiles from water anyway.

Dhalphir -- dotmap looks fine from a first glance, though I might consider moving the sheep and deer cities both 1 east so they're closer to our capital and we don't waste some grassland that's going to be in between our cities. More exploration is definitely needed, though.

Note: I still can't play turns at the moment, but I'll be back in action shortly...

deer city is reclaiming an ice spot, that was the main reason to pt it there. we can probably found another city to the E of the wheat and S of the capital to pick up the grassland there - it could share the wheat

Imo, its too early to dotmap.
We need more scouting obv. And we know there is at least one flood plains East of capital. That area could be more interesting.
We have to explore South too, there could be some sea food or Furs close to Wheat.

In general, I prefer more overlapped cities. But we have to block some choke points here I guess, so we can discuss final dot map for 6-8 first cities after some more scouting and contacts. We have no idea so far where our neighbour(s) are and what is the distance between capitals exactly.

MIT with pig, cow and gold looks decent. And for city#3 we may need to place it near Horses or Copper. Then we can start discussing final dotmap, I think.

never too early for a dotmap

can never plan too much in a game like this!

best case scenario the dotmap helps us plan a little bit before scouting

worst case scenario it turns out to be irrelevant after scout clears some more fog and reveals the triple wheat/triple gem city spot that DMOC bribed the mapmaker to put in with sexual favours

Scout moves next:
  1. 9; 6-3; 2?
  2. 6-3; 9; ..?
  3. any other options?
I was kinda set on move him 6-3 on T9, but I wanna take a look at that salt water now, as DMOC suggested.

EDIT: maybe we could leave that forrested tile in the fog for now and go like 9; 6-3; and to the East or NorthEast after?

9;6-3 seems best if we want to check the coast
