btw, we got our first great general. im not sure how you managed to get so few GG points this far into the game, hehe. i want to join him to our future heroic epic city, but we don't have a unit with 10 exp. we have several with 8 experience, so im holding onto him for now. if I can unlock the epic that way, ill join him, if we have peace before I can, Ill have to use him on a knight to get enough experience to unlock the epic.

Where is cornflakes iron? If we deprive him of that then he can't build cannon.
Are AT or Jowy helping Cornflakes stay alive?

jowy is pretty much irrelevant at this point. he has so many longbows it will be hard to wipe him out, but he can't really do anything.
at is in builder mode, and his economy is doing quite well. I think he's staying neutral. he's researching chemistry, so if they were cooperating I think he would get chemistry from cornflakes.

What about the Iron though? Does Cornflakes still have a native source? We need to find that and cut him off then we may get peace.
At the minute it seems that he's hanging on for Cannon (not giving us gold for peace - retreating rather than fighting or whipping down to the ground) for a counter attack. If he has no Iron, he has no ability for Cannons and we will be safer to hold on to what we have.

well I razed the taj mahal - hehe, it was in kayak. offered him 350 plus chemistry for peace. really hope he accepts it. had to retreat from paradigm, as he moved in some injured knights - 4 of the that had c3 and pinch, so its not good for me to be hanging around there with a bunch of muskateeers. probably not much room for me to advance - i could raze farmville, but thats a crappy tundra/ice city so no point really. I did have fun pillaging the countryside around kayak. its time for peace, though, I can't advance much more without heavy losses anyway.

hah. he has none <G>.
He had sources, but they are both in azza's former land that we now control. He does have a source of copper, but you can't make copper cannons. Good call.
I don't think he's realized this or he would have head down the rifling path.
he finally offered a counter-off: peace treaty, w/ no concessions. hah. well I didn't accept. I have reached a wall where he can't advance, but I don't see that he can retake anything. the one movers (pike, cats, maces) reached apocolypse next turn, and I have more units than him and im more compact since he has a 3 front war. so we'll have stalemate until he's willing to give up more, I guess. eventually I could get pikes and more cats over there and try again, we'll see. i sacrificed a musket to pillage the corn and road leading out of paradigm in my direction, so I don't fear him.
if Im lucky, AT will trade me chemistry for liberalism (uneven trade, but who knows) and I can exhort steel, with no cash. not sure that will happen though, but one can dream. AT gets chemistry in 3 turns.
im ending turn with no peace deal, we'll see if he offers another. should I accept peace for chemistry, no cash, knowing he's lacking iron?

ok, he's getting iron from AT. what can I do about this? what are the spy rules, can I "destroy improvement?"
If not, can I do a trade w/ AT that says "cancel Iron deal."?
I would be willing to buy AT's excess Iron for 5 gpt to keep it from cornflakes, but I think AT would just go without, 1 to me and 1 to cornflakes, since he has copper himself.

ok, I drafted a city I wasn't planning to draft on AT's border to get a 2 mover over there quick to run a quick scouting party through AT's land. his 2 sources of iron are in border cities. I wonder if Jowy will join in if I declare war. Considering taking peace w/ cornflakes for and trying to raze AT's 2 Iron cities - to prevent both of them from getting cannons.
any lurker can probably answer the spy and trade rules questions for me :P

ok, im not sure if its possible, but tomorrow with a new turn im going to try and formulate a plan: road through jungle to AT's border city with iron, get peace with cornflakes, raze AT's iron cities, get peace for chemistry, then DOW on an ironless cornflakes and take peace for steel.
that might be too ambitious, but it sounds good in theory .

I'll wait to see the plan but we'll need to be careful. We start going at AT without a guaranteed peace with Comm and we have a 2 front war and AT will have some force to throw at us.
We are now number 1 in score so they could bribe the others to turn their armies around at us and suddenly we are in cornflakes' position.
It is clear that Cornflakes has a plan in place for his cannons to take back some of our land. Unless we get lucky and ninja & Comm start actually doing some heavy lifting on the other front, that force will likely come at us. In that case we will either need a good amount of knights or preferably Cuirassers to try and counteract the cannons.
