Aside from the fact that Darrell (below) is right, since after all we wouldn't even allow people to sell their pick spot, I don't think we want to get nearly that gamey. It isn't clear that for instance Agg Rome is better than Creative, Financial, or whatever in a long game like this. And other teams are welcome to try to block the best choices themselves if they think it is worthwhile.

Speaker can attest to the way this works out in MP - In ancient no civ is banned, but Zulu never gets Agg/Exp because inevitably another player takes the leader before the Zulu player gets their own pick. In this game there are more strong combos, but that works both ways.

Yeah it's way to late to start putting limitations on combos. Wouldn't even be fair to redo the picking. You can also feel free to use your pick to try and throw a wrench in people's plans

Alright, alright y'all have a good point, so just interpret the above as suggestions then

Regarding, throwing a wrench in other people's plans: you cannot quite do that. Any organized for HRE would work for example. Also, you can thwart one team at your own expense leaving everyone else in a better position.
