Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

RPB3 SPOILERS Bismarck of India (regoarrarr, darrelljs, sooooo, sunrise089)

Exploit hey - is he the guy who took over from ZPV in the first pitboss? I remember him being rather angsty and everyone ganging up on him. Maybe that means he will be looking for more friendly relationships in this game?

@soooo - not sure if you're joking or not but if not, you're thinking of Elkad, who took over for ZPV (Carthage) in the first pitboss.

Exploit took over for Yazilliclick, who took over for Krill (Inca) in the first pitboss, and yes, pretty much everyone ended up deciding to attack him. He just ended his involvement in the game a few days ago by giving me all his cities.

In my dealings with him, he is a very "Survivor-esque" player - playing cutthroat diplomatically and swapping alliances and such.

T26 played according to plan.

Guinness born and is heaidng south on the hills to find folks. Hurricane continuing north towards the copper.

Henge in 4 I believe.

Only one tech discovered, by Rome. It could be Wheel as there are 4000 soldier points unaccounted for but I think it is probably Agriculture.

That would leave us and Portugal as the only civs that don't know it. We will have it in 2t and I suspect they'll have it next turn or in 2 as well

Logged into the email accoutn and we've made 2nd contact!

Quote:Hi guys,

Hello and well met. When you log in you'll see our scout Hernan Cortes has found Ladies Night. Hernan's come a long way to find you! We switched our EPs to your civ & will stop once we have visibility on your graphs if that's ok with you. Like I said, you guys are a fair distance from our capital; certainly further than the ~4000 tiles split among 17 civs would suggest you should be. Not sure what to make of it with the limited info we have on the map layout at the moment.

You're the second civ we've met and, from what we can see, your capital looks pretty different. Less... tree-y if you know what I mean. Did you guys settle a spot low on forests or are you turning those trees into a big pile of stones? :-)

Anyway - good to meet you. We'd like to send Hernan onwards to meet additional civs; if you could point us in the right direction we'd be much obliged. One other thing - given the distance between our civs, we could safely trade while avoiding border tensions. So we wanted to lay the groundwork for a technology trade if you're interested.

Regards

Meatbalz for DIM

So now we owe a letter to ruff and them. I would suggest giving them the same basic opening email as we gave to ruff.

C&D wise, T27 score increases:

* The Ottomans grew to size 4
* Maya grew to size 3
* France became the last civ to get their BFC land points (due to settling on T2)
* England researched a tech

Still haven't gone in game to get power numbers nor see where the HRE scout is. Obvious techs for England would be AH or BW

Okay T28 rolled and played.

I happened to catch Meatbalz of HRE ingame and we had a long chat. I didn't screen print it because it was too long.

Here are some of the highlights:

They are far to our SE (around 40 tiles). They said that their scout has come pretty much on a beeline towards us, but they've had to stop and heal twice. I told them about ruff to our east, and they said that they have met a civ to ruff's south, and this "mystery" civ has asked that HRE not tell anyone who they are until they can discuss it.

HRE is to the east of that civ.

I told them that we were thinking of going for alphabet and looking to line up tech trades, adn so are they. They are heading towards Monarchy.

They know we are building henge from the espionage screen, so I went ahead and confirmed that it was due next turn (go us!)

One worker started the farm and the other will join next turn. Warriors heading north and south.

What do we research next? I have put us on AH (14). Other options are Wheel (10) and Hunting (7)

In demographic news, France grew to size 2, Carthage researched Agriculture (copycats!) and Portugal did BW.

We foudn a jungle sugar north of the northenr copper and a plains hill sheep (3/2/1) to the SE

I vote hunting before AH, since the former gives the latter a bonus. We may even want wheel before them both.

So is here a pic of our lands from last turn

Last I heard we were planning on putting our first city up towards the copper, right?

I have not ended turn yet so if we have consensus on tech someone can go ahead and log in and do so. I'll be away till about 8 or 9 pm tonight
