Just to inform you that I'm still up for making a map. Not forcing anything, though, since this map surely looks like fun. But I'm avaiable, if needed.

I want to get to a point where you all don't have the map as an excuse if I win. So I think the best approach is probably to take Ichabod up on his offer. So long as there's still water (I did choose Lanun because OO was banned) I'm fine with taking them again.
Besides, that way I can go help Thoth spam

So we have two votes for calling it here, two votes for continuing, and me abstaining due to personal bias. Are we just going to sit in limbo?

Well, if Mardoc abstains, and the people who want to continue (me+Darrell) don't appear to really care all that much, we should probably just restart on a new map made by Ichabod (thanks for volunteering, btw ). No use playing out a game if 40% of the players are dissatisfied within the first 10 turns.
Played in: PBEM 4 [Formerly Jowy's Peter of Egypt] | PBEM 10 [Napoleon of the Dutch] | PBEM 11 [Shaka of France] | EitB XVI [Valledia of the Amurites] | PB7 [Darius of Rome] | Diplomacy 3 [Austria-Hungary] | PBEMm/o vs AutomatedTeller

I'm fine with a restart. For the record, I wanted to continue becase the map intrigued me, not because I popped Hunting t0 .

If you guys want to restart, I'd like to ask for some preferred map settings to base the map on. Pointing some previous games that had maps similar to your desired settings work too.
BTW, I'm sure you'll all agree that a rainforest map is a good idea! (sorry, Mardoc, couldn't resist :neenernee)
EDIT: BTW, I prefer to make natural looking maps and leave most of what the map generator created untouched. I don't think I have the experience to make a map from scratch and keep it balanced, so I hope everyone is fine with it.

. I saw two huts but didn't pop them because I didn't want to be disappointed. How about no Events, Huts, or Lairs?
I think Arboreal is the best fit for this game .

All I got from huts and lairs and events was gold - so the RNG was evening things out already. Agreed that we want no huts - are you sure you want no lairs, too? It changes the barbarian mix a lot. Suppose we just ask for them to be garrisoned from T0, so that they can't be popped until later in the game? As for events, I think it breaks some pieces of the game if you turn them off entirely.
Tiny islands! :aar: With lakes inside!
Ok, realistically, we want a builder game, so something larger than usual would be a good fit, Large or Huge. And with early war made difficult, by way of channels or mountain ranges or sheer distance; something along those lines.
I actually wouldn't mind too greatly if you remove the water, but only if I get to repick my civ (I could be Svarts on Arboreal!). Otherwise Pangaea or Lakes or Tectonic or Inland Sea seem to be reasonable options. Or we could even go as far as something like the PBEM 17 map?
Ah...not PBEM6, please.

Can we make the existing lurker thread just for ffh15a, so I can lurk the game?
