It appears that Team Pirates also ended turn without settling their capital. Unless we missed something obvious in settling choices, I think it's looking more likely that the starts were not mirrored.
Both teams that settled on turn 0 have 30 points (11 for techs, 16 for Palace, 3 for population). The next 9 pop points should be worth 4 score points each.

I believe team pirate only ended turn so that the next team could move their scouts and have more to discuss while waiting for the reloaded turn to come back to them. So not settling on the first turn may not be their actual choice.
That said, no the starts are not mirrored.

Oh, I thought we would have to replicate our moves exactly on the re-load.

That's what I thought as well.
I'm on vacation through Sunday, so I should have an Excel file ready either Sunday or Monday.
Can we see demos after each team settles? Sequential means that maximally accurate C&D can be run based on 4 Demogs shots a turn, after each opponent plays: we'd only be grokking one team's actions between each shot. So it's best for T0 and T1 as people settle, and we can discuss how much we want to do for screenie grabbing as the game progresses.
And anyone who wants Dropbox access should PM me or email me at cyneheardegypt at the usual google mail. That's for editing files; everyone will have read only access to the spreadsheet.

Yes, with the exception (by my understanding, anyway) that team tropical trolls requested that team pirate end turn early (i.e. shift-enter) so that the former might have their starting position post unit-moves to ponder, so they wouldn't have to take long after the reload.

If that's what they did, then Team Pirate should be good to play the replay normally.

It looks like Team Pirates did settle this time around. So did the Tropical Trolls. Team Menagerie just founded their city on their second turn, so everyone's at 30 points now.

Just so you guys are aware, because it's not immediately obvious for sequential. This is still a pitboss, it's possible for any team to log in to the game outside their turn and mess with worked tiles, tech assignments, city builds, etc. to confuse demographics screen. Only reliable indicator of what happened are the graphs.

That affects:
Crop Yield
MFG
GNP
Espionage: research visibility, sabotage production.
I think that's it.

Picking up on issue of C&D obfuscation outside a team's turn. This is not something we discussed before the game and some lurkers voiced an opinion this kind of stuff should be banned. I'm mildly in favor on this ( it's relatively harmless in the long run, but does give an edge to teams with better timezone spacing and more people that can log in frequently ), but won't push for a ban unless all teams are in favor.
Would you agree to a ban on altering game state outside a team's turn?
Because the game is in progress already there will be no public vote. The ban will pass only with unanimous support. If it fails, there will be no information who vetoed it or why.
