I wish I had gone north with my scout. It looked too much like dead end before border pop.

Are you considering moving the scout back up there? Perhaps doing a semi-circle south of the capital before heading north, or are huts more valuable than finding a potential second city site?

I've considered turning scout back to north every turn, but it would take a while to get there so I'll probably just try to get past this jungle and hope for finding huts. I can build another scout a bit later to see what is there in the north.

Otherwise I'll probably head for fast settler and plant it on desert north. It can share cows, Corn and 1 hill with the capital. That is good enough for an early city and also starts to convert slowly my gold supplies to beakers. It is also located convininently as canal city. I'll probably go Agri-Wheel to get the city immediately connected and BW after that.

Another hut and I like the the form of the continent. It would appear like it would be ending in the east that would mean I've a solid claim on most of the jungle later when it makes sense to settle it.

Game is running very fast. couple of turns has passed from previous update. Found my 1st animal barb. Otherwise it is very quiet. No sight of anyone else.

There is fair chance I've no neighbors in the southern part of this continent.



Scout is a bit wounded from the battle against the Panther (0.9/1).

That's a lot of jungle. You may have to go shopping for a pith helmet and khaki jacket.

Seems to be pretty challenging place to start. Not much food and I need early IW. No immediate neighbors in the south so I could run a big farmer's gambit.

Wow, I was hoping for a decent second city site in the fog west of your capital, but not even one proper food source... It also looks like you won't have an easy source of commerce, which would have helped you on your way to IW. What are your thoughts on expansion? Will you send the scout north of your capital to look for potential city sites? If you don't find anything appealing, where do you plan to settle your second city?
