IF Seven doesnt play lets not go with BTS please, i think rtr would be beter one of the older version maybe.

I think Krill is right about tech cost scaling. If we're playing base BTS I'd like to do something to increase later game tech costs. Unfortunately most options involve increasing early game costs too. But the mapmaker could give us a gold tile at the capital or pre-settle our capital and put a town underneath it to mitigate that.

I'd be happy to play with one of the mods too.

nod 2.7.0.4 is best but I'd survive .6 or an earlier branch.

Out of curiousity, which change(s) in v3 make you prefer 2.7.0.x?

I'm not going to be able to play this in any capacity, but

Not going to thread-jack, but:

Assuming people are willing 2.7.0.6 or earlier.

similarly dislike most of the v3 changes
even the ones i thought i would like, like tech cost rescaling
i think are too significant
like you can just blast though early techs in v3
and it substantially changes the value of stuff
i think actually makes Pro even better, cause you can get pottery
super early
and Pro did not need to be better

Yeah
Zero need for all this commerce.
It was an interesting choice.

oh ya, quay is least favorite part
by far
(also just weird commerce boost for everyone, for the sake of an overly complicated fin fix)

Randomly moved civics, too.
Yeah, I actually like the 2.7.0.4 Fin
It's plenty strong, and makes for an interestingly different improvement rubric.
Plus the +2cpt Creative (library version is fine power-wise, but loses distinction) and the civic weirdness.

Yeah I don't want to thread jack either smile just was curious, wasn't going to turn it into a discussion. thanks for replying! I likely will dedlurk you, but obviously not at the required skill level to play myself

GJ and I are going to team up, since everyone else seems to be doing it. wink

I really hope this happens, and for that matter that it happens in base BTS so I understand it, since I've egged some of the obvious potential participants for another one of these for awhile.

(Not at the required skill level nor am I interested in playing but it would bring my games lurked count up to 2!)
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
