Just a quick news flash. No pictures, that SO 2015...
AT declared war, took a border city. I had recently unlocked knights, I had built some gers and 10 knights or so. He attacked with PRO janissaries. However he moved forward into open, I took a stab at killing his stack. After hitting his stack of macemen and janissaries with 5 cats, knocking them down some, most of my 3-promo mongol knights had 60+% odds.
I had the worst luck, losing half my 60-80% fights. So short shory shorter, after I killed his stack and retook my city we both have successfully lost a LOT of units. I sent just about everything I had against him, while he necessarily had to keep 50% of his strength at home. Attackers catch '22 - need a 3:1 power ratio plus good neighbour situation to invade someone.
We made white peace, but with AT still strong and technologically advanced, and 2nd score leader Ichabod to my north, not good long-term prospects.
I will, however, use my poor surviving elite knights to take some islands from Yuri to my east.
