West side of the map looks pretty good, although I haven't looked at it for balance yet. Do you just want to mirror that side to the map to the east half as well, at a Height/2 offset? You can use tools to do that, so that might save you some time....

for NO REASON AT ALL i decided to put in the player starts today and take screenshots for them to use. I went with start #3 because #1 wouldn't fit with the current terrain very well and I like the idea of giving them production heavy capitals to make the question of bureaucracy cottage cheese an actual question instead of 'YES'
unfortunately i didn't have much time to work on the map because messing with the starts took much longer than it should have because i am the dumb check em out 1 and here's where they are on the map for reference ![]() (i know the numbering is weird; like i said, i am dumb )i'm fine sending them out to the players tonight if there aren't any mistakes so they can have something to do while i continue making the map (June 8th, 2016, 08:02)Boldly Going Nowhere Wrote: If you end up with isolated tracts of unused eater tiles when you're finished you can consider adding some jungle or forest tiles to those water tiles to help combat global warming during the industrial era. I thought GW was disabled in RtR?
super double post time
nylesstandish would also have to make his thread for me to post the starting screenshot in it (or i could just PM it to him but that's lame lame for losers )(June 8th, 2016, 18:44)GermanJoey Wrote: West side of the map looks pretty good, although I haven't looked at it for balance yet. I meant like, mirroring it over an y=x diagonal line or somesuch. But if you're dedicated enough to draw the whole thing, then godspeed and good luck!
I didn't see plains wine. I was told there was plains wine! You know, for food.
You either have high intestinal fortitude or suffer from masochism if you think punishing yourself builds character, but I salute your effort. Don't worry, the players will recognize your labor and justly reward you with praise for it! Oh, wait... No, they'll probably do the other thing instead, but either way thanks for your work on the map. Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon
Very mild issue with the rather mirrored starts. Some people can irrigate the corn through a plains non river tile, whereas some have to give up a riverside grassland to do this. You could probably swap tiles slightly to ameliorate this should you wish.

+all of the islands close enough to a player to be considered theirs have been painted all that remains to be painted is the contested 'islands', and then the map can be checked for balance (June 10th, 2016, 04:55)ReallyEvilMuffin Wrote: Very mild issue with the rather mirrored starts. Maybe some of the grass hills, even.
