I did settle the city north from Deerslayer.

I gifted 2 maces (Both 1/2 exp) near Irish Coffee and 1 (0 exp) from Red Bull. What is the current gift count and how many more we should gift out?

I tried to find something worth whipping and didn't find anything so I decided to just fire the Golden age and converted to Pacifism, Mercantilism and Caste. Free Market is not that appealing because of the wars making our foreing routes weak and most off-shore cities of Gillette are still small.

We should probably try to Finish Shewagdon Paya somewhere. Deerslayer would be quite ok to do that during Golden Age. Sistine Chapel is also quite powerful so I think we should build that too. e.g. Bloody Mary could do that after Settler.

I switched most of Mercntilism specialists to Scientists. We get Astro barely in 1T. Ramune and Horse's Neck are only cities actively going for Great Persons at the moment. Zak you better check those cities next turn and if they're in good schedule or not.

I am popping the 1000 GP from HN and the 1200 GP from Ramune, so that HN will get a head start on the 1400 GP.

I also went with Gunpowder for now, since we can easily beeline Communism in time, even if we pick up Gunpowder first, but we might also have time for Chemistry first, so we don't need to decide just yet.

State property should boost our economy nicely. We are currently at the maximum per-city maintenance of 6 gpt in all cities of size 6+. So we should just spam out the remaining filler cities at this point. I am building a Hindu monastery in Mai-Tai to preserve some spreading capabilities after Scientific Method even if we go for free religion. Bitter also has one, as does the capital, but they obviously prefer to build other stuff.

Gillette has now set their research to scientific method. We put a turn of 100% research into it, and should now save gold for a few turns before we kill our darling. There are several silver islands still available, and our first galleon sets sail next turn, with a settler and two workers. We might be able to grab a banana spot. It's not a great site, but it's better than nothing. Caravels are scouting the remaining coastline to see if there's anything else up for grabs.

I'm guessing Gillette will pop another golden age to power them up to communism and revolt. If they manage to get there fast, this could get interesting.

Sent the settler+2*workers towards silver island. We've 2 other settlers ready. I didn't really know what to do with them so I moved them somewhere wink.

Gillette is ready to settle the final spots in the island. It might be good idea to send empty galleon there so that they need to settle also those cities and can't take a chance with us settling them (assuming they plan on delaying settling).

Pirates settled pretty bad city near the center. They can't claim wheat or spices.

After settling the silver islands we should send a settler in the big island just to force them to settle.

Q says something about pillaging that I don't quite understand. He has a longbow in neutral territory that may be what he's talking about. Gillette canceled the fur gift, for some reason. It didn't make any of our cities unhappy, but I asked for an explanation, anyway.

Gillette have liberalism due in 1, so I went ahead and completed sci meth. Communism due in 2 after ending turn. Getting a great scientist from Horse's Neck earlier was lucky, because we had about 50% odds for a spy, IIRC. Ramune will pop a GP next turn which is guaranteed to be neither a scientist nor a spy. So coupled with the spy from communism, we'll have a trio ready to start our next golden age.

Let's think about which civics we want to be in, going out of the golden age. Back to Slavery and Organized Religion, and stay in Bureaucracy? Since we can start another golden age when we feel like it, maybe that's fine.

We also need some city names.

We got a great merchant at the end of the turn in Ramune, and completed the Shwedagon Paya in Deerslayer. Communism due next turn, state property should boost our economy very nicely. We now have three silver islands, with a common naming theme.

Gillette says the furs were only for 30 turns.

Communism finished. Spy is ours. We've enough beaker overflow to finish Gunpowder with 0% tech slider in 1T so I predialed that as well as Kremlin in Bloody Mary. I also focused all our Eps towards Gillette.

Dialing up Knights here and there. I also considered changing our Heroic Epic city to treb duty, but didn't do that. We don't had to be able to upgrade every Knight to Cavalry to be effective.

Converted to SP, OR and slavery. Otherwise our builds are gradually turned towards military units.
