Apparently I only missed turn three of yesterday by half an hour - so I played it just now.
Ancient Chants is in, we're started on Mysticism, Poopdeck is size 4 and working max food, so it'll soon be size 5, everything is prepared for the settler at EOT to found immediately, and I can get three workers to the rice right after that. Although I think that may be overkill, especially with a fishing boat coming, so I'll probably send one of the workers south to work on the fourth site instead.

Now that the turn has ended, the next settler is the one who will need a workboat for the Fish . So your correction comes just in time to also be wrong :neenernee
But yeah, once you said one for the Pig/Fish I knew what you meant. I'm strongly tempted to try to build that second WB in the new northern city, the main question is whether it can scrape up 20 hammers before Mainmast can manage 225 foodhammers (WB + worker + settler). And I'm actually doubtful of that ! It's just that I see T71 getting ever closer, and I really want to spend as many of those remaining turns with Mainmast (at least) on settler duty).

North city would be better off spending those hammers on a (cheap) Sea Haven...we can afford a turn of WB building in Mainmast.
We've still got 18 turns of Expansive Settler Production to abuse....and GK is only a few turns away.
(we should get those 'Shrooms mined in the near future...)

Well, I did have a nice micro plan posted for t53.....then the "Server is too busy" ate it.
We'll want another worker before our next settler (and after the WB)....growth rate is high enough that we'll be running out of improved tiles RSN.
I don't like the Shock promos on our Bronze warriors. It's not enough better vs copperless barbs to give up the bonus vs gobbos/lizards and the opportunity to take fun stuff like March or Commando. Suggest we stick with Combat promos for the moment.
And we'll need to move the (unpromoted) warrior from Poopdeck towards city 4 this turn.

There are no lizards in this game - Ichabod included no lairs. Same with goblins. Str 2 gobbos don't scare me.
I don't think I'll promote any more warriors to shock - but I really wanted the odds before Bronze came in.
Agreed on worker next in Mainmast. It appears that three turn settlers are the norm, now - with GK, we might make it to 2 turns! I'm planning to stay at 100% research until we revolt, then take a couple turns at 100% to build an event fund before researching MftD.
On a different note - I'm busy all day, until probably 10 pm or so. If the save comes in during that period, feel free to grab it.

2 settlers every 5 turns in Mainmast is what I've calculated...YMMV

t 54 played and passed.....Gobbo is dead, wb finished 2t on worker and myst...could have done Myst in 1t but figured it wasn't worth the sacrifice of food/hammers.
Worker OF in Mainmast will get GK + Expansive modifiers for our next city.

Agreed.
Played T55 - I saw your sign about potentially moving the Topsail cove - I figure it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other, but the way to bet is to compress the coves as much as possible, so I put it on the southern tile you suggested.
Won't know if we were right or not until we get around to exploring the offshore islands. Although - in retrospect, I think we built the workboat too early. We're not going to be working that cove for a few turns yet, not until we grow to at least size 3. The rice and pig are more important, to supercharge our growth. Therefore the cove should have waited. I'm not going to hold the WB around, though, that'd just cost maintenance to no benefit.
In other news, we've got a road to the city4 site; I'm pulling a warrior or two down to the area so we can work on getting the area ready ahead of time. We'll want a road to the city5 site, and roads to the pigs, and a farm on the grass that city4 can work, at a minimum.
Poopdeck is growing up nicely, will hit size 6 at EOT. That'll run it out of improved tiles to work, so I'll send the new worker over thataway to build a couple more farms.
And...at EOT, we have a sign that going Bronze Working that early was a REALLY GOOD IDEA:
With the two Shock warriors and the CII warrior in the area, plus Poopdeck finishing another, we should be able to handle this pretty well, maybe even prevent them from entering our territory. But I'd hate to have to try that with normal Warriors.

I wasn't (and am not ) sure it's the right call, but my instincts say to pack the coves in as tight as possible....hence the ? on the sign.

It won't be very long before we outstrip our improved tiles....the Cove won't be unworked for very long.

I'm not sure if we can afford it yet, but an EC and a Sage in Poopdeck would be awesome if we can afford it. An Academy in Mainmast (even without the Brewery...which can wait until post t70 ) would be awesome.

Looks like some easy xp if we defend. :hat:
