Cheers.

I just logged in and added some place marks for some potential 3rd and 4th cities. There are quite a few nice locations we need to decide upon in the near future.

Okay, we have a slight problem:

Tortuga will be settled T34. If we want the Worker to start farming the Corn the minute the city is settled, we'll have to start moving it over next turn, and waste the turn we spent moving onto the forest.

And yes, moving 4 tiles onto a flatlands usually means that we should sink one turn into an improvement on the way, but we have nothing to build. It looks like we'll be able to build Roads near Pink Dot until Pottery comes in. And no, I have no clue where I screwed up on micro.

Do we give up on the chopping, or keep chopping and delay the Corn?

If we chop I think we should chop into Settler since the chop won't speed up worker.

Well, chopping shaves 1t off of the current worker, right? So that is 1t sooner that our capitol can work the second farm there. That, the earlier overflow from the chop (although not sure what we are overflowing into as wheel-pottery isnt going to be done in time to chop into a granary), and the wasted worker turns might offset the value of working that corn 2t sooner.

if we do move the worker now, it saves the chop for the granary, but pottery is a long way off.

oops xpost - i think even if it doesnt save a turn off the worker, we can overflow it all into the second settler.

Let's chop. Moving out and into a forest later on is a huger waste..

I too vote for chopping. We already wasted a turn getting to the Forrest hill.

We're chopping.

On the interturn, M3's Warrior wandered out of the fog. We'll need that Quechua to cover our new city. By the way, what are we going to name it?
