Ok, I played the turn.
Looks like an hot war between Q and spacetyrant as Q has 7WW.
Also Q's border city Constantinople is empty. I have ordered one galley towards its general direction.
Prioritised Markets over Forges, probably bad idea, but seems to be in line with your thinking.
At the moment I would lean towards attacking Q along the hill line towards QCityTwisted and then Constantinople. It cant be made secretly though, the Q has pretty good vision in that area. Needs some clever distribution of troops at turn X-2 and then a sudden merging on the staging tile on X-1.

Thanks mh. Thanks also for the input re possible Q attack angles. I need to tighten up my understanding of 'visibility' rules and plan from there.
At this rate - I should be on deck to play the next turn but I will keep you posted.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Xenu and Q have made peace again. Wonder what that was all about.

Played the current turn this morning. The whip change really bites ... 7 citizens to complete a 150h market. That sucks.
I will swap them over to forges and then markets.
BTW - mh ... are you interested in subbing for me during my Sept break in 1 RB based pbem game? The Deity AI for 75 turns, then human one. Commodore (+2 others) attacked my civ and managed to take a few cities. I have taken the important ones back. Having a blast building units and killing others.

Never heard of that PBEM, and not really interested, sorry.
I can sub for you in this Pitboss, though.

Yes. Reporting has gotten even worse - sorry.
I will post a wrap up of the last few turns tomorrow. Feel free to log in and look around if you want.

Turn 123 - 200 AD
Here are some update pics ...
Who do I know? Lots of people. There are 34 civilizations in this game. I know 22 of them ... mostly more advanced that me and so I get some known tech bonuses.
What is this all about? Is this a 10t NAP?
Another shot of the people I know. Krill is currently involved in 3 wars. I'll try and see if any of those are real wars or just transit wars.
What my cities are doing?
The units I have. No cats? I didn't realize I had not cats.
Finished Iron working last turn. I have iron ... oh dear ...
Lucky for me, I have two other sources ...

Turn 125 - 250 AD
Here is my exploring galley / scout combo. The galley is currently heading west to pick up Mr scout.
Tech turned up to 50%. BGN is set to finish this tech this turn so waiting will get me a little more 'known tech bonus'. However, the capital is set to finish a market, so spending on beakers is better than spending on gold. I split the difference. Or did neither ... depending on how you look at it.
I've also set up Marble head for another Axe double whip next turn.
Settler on-route to the Stone tile. Note the circled worker who will complete a road next turn.
Here is Jowy. One non-border popped city. Also present is my exploring workboat.
