Atleast on IPB, you have a small time window to edit your post without getting the little message It's for small typos that you've spot just after posting the message. Let's see.

You can edit for a short time after posting and the message won't get an "edited at time" tag. I think it's about 15 minutes on this board. CFC allows about 5.
