The latest unofficial patch is made by Kyrub and is 1.40m, not 1.41m. If you launch the executable file to start a game and look in the main menu it shows correctly: 1.40m. If you start an actual game with a wizard and look in the load/save area then it shows 1.40l, which is the previous version. Kyrub apparently forgot to change that printout, but you are still playing 1.40m.

I wasn't sure if anyone mentioned the message that says "You are unable to cast any spells" if you have too much mana and are attacked in your capital city.

To mention: the arcane spells: common: dispel magic,summon circle,recall hero, R: disenchant area,summon hero,detect magic,enchant it
VR: disjunction,sum champion,avareness,enchant artifacts.
Would be nice : if any node have spell reward 3-lvl spell- it give the spell lvl 3(rare) if possible. But Now the search order is: pick a realm (random,if book exist),then find unknown spell this level (to make it learned),then search unknown spell level below,and so on.. Then search lvl up. And all arcane spells counts like 1-lvl.(except ench. Artifacts and above).
I purpose to start search from lvl ,then realm instead.

To prevent: to get 'summoning circle' instead of 'herb mastery' from the node with 4-lvl spell reward.(by wizard with 4 or more green books).
It is strange to get 'warp creature' instead of 'regeneration' from node, just becouse you had conquered just before a chaos node with one chaos book as the reward.

Bug present in Insecticide 1.40n only

Impact: Game do not crash, can be "solved" by not using the exploit.

Description: While cycling the cities, using key "X", you will be allowed to change the actual building in Outposts.

Replicate: Start a game and create an outpost. Go to city screen and press X.

Possible solution: Exclude the next city when pressing X if it is an outpost and move to the next (or the beginning if there are no more cities).
Only the people crazy enough to think they can change the world of Arcanus and Myrror can do it. rolleye

Technical note: FrancoK, could you please find another format for your posts? One_line_text----one_line_gap creates a "zebra" pattern that is very hard to read. I suggest using the congested text with larger paragraphs or _
  • _ feature. Or whatever else that suits your personal taste.

I think this bug is new to Insecticide (I've never noticed it in vanilla, at least), but if you have both water walking and pathfinding, magic roads don't work for you.

Hi Anthony. If you want me to repair the bug, you need to
- either be sure it's Insecticide / 1.31 specific (e.g. test it with original wizards.exe)
- or post a save with the unit on a magic road.


To run the simulations and test versions for every bug report is too time consuming for me.

Okay, it's not a new bug; just tested at 1.31, and water walking/pathfinding units can't use magic roads there either. I can provide a save if it would be useful, though you may not care about pre-existing bugs (it's slightly annoying to replicate, because getting water walking, pathfinding, and magic roads is tough to do early game).
