It comes too late especially, if we whip.

Let's just send our first settler here:

I have to run.

plako Wrote:What about whipping next turn? It would give us 3rd warrior and option to take more risks on our 2 vs 1.

Does that work out? (I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding the timings or not).

Worst case:

Our T31: We move 2nd Warrior to hill
Their T32: They move closer to city
Our T32: We try to kill Warrior & lose, we whip Settler & overflow into Warrior
Their T33: They kill our capital before our Warrior pops out.

So I think we have to whip this turn (T31)?

Btw, I don't think TEAM know BW, so they don't know where Copper is. They do know about horses tho.

Scout on defense for quite a while, but I like the message it sends lol.

We've 32.3% odds on 1st battle so I suspect odds of killing it with 2 warriors is quite a bit higher than 90%.

With next turn I meant the turn we play next. Warrior would be there on time to defend. If we get lucky in the battle we could overflow e.g. towards worker instead.

We would whip next turn and move both our warriors to plains hill. Anyone against?

That will leave the problem what we want do with the settler, workers and scout - Maybe we could try to settle TEAM's copper and try to bring misery to them with couple of chopped axes and continue towards AH. That is a huge gamble though. Just imagine there are horses on capital BFC wink. Maybe we could try to ask this from team Gillette in exchange of telling them the positioning of copper.

Sounds good to me.

Remember that's unlikely to be their closest copper - we have some tucked in near our capital, and I bet they do too.

I also think they're probably researching BW now (gut feeling, not substantiated by anything except it's been a while since they got a tech & they're being aggressive towards Gillette then us).

All that said, we're not gonna be friends with them now so we might as well pointedly settle their land so they know they chose unwisely lol Providing we think we can defend it, anyway wink

Maybe we could settle on that copper and chop a bunch of axes and spears to harass their capital.

We certainly should make it our goal to poach as much of their land as possible.
If you know what I mean.

After thinking, I feel like we should settle as planned towards copper NW. Still risky but we've a NAP with Gillette so I think it is manageable. At least there aren't barbs to fear. We can also use Fast workers to do a bit of extra scouting i.e. Keep one of them moving further away having a movement point to use for retreating, if nescessary and otherwise build road. After settling we can always chop out a warrior in 2T in case of an emergency.

Otherwise it will be whip the settler - overflow to warrior/worker/settler (depends on RNG) and move other warrior on same hill as the one we've already there. Our settler will come out a turn sooner than anticipated, but can't settle any faster than original plan frown. Fast workers would be 1 in the Corn and other in 2W and build road for both of them.

TEAM is playing this game to Gillette's pocket. Now looking for opening to concede lol.

Any counter opinions. I'll play in the evening in ~12h unless Darrell wants to do it before me.

I would then say we want to settle our 3rd city towards Gillette near copper/marble.
