Are the other teams highly placed enough to really matter? Is grinding a win doable?

Not quite sure what 1st question means Commodore. We won't win this sitting on our backs. Gillette has too much land for that to work.

Nevertheless I'm now calmed down and might even log in at some point to take screenshots. In the eastern sea I regrouped most of our Frigates so that they've a harder time to come through our center and it will be easier for them to focus in the cities North-east. Our main stack moved on and I attached few more cavs there. I also promoted ~half of our units in our SOD. I decided not to use GG at this point and prepared to take advante of possible opening in the territories SW from us, when their defenders start to move towards capital.

I also logged in and looked around a bit, earlier. I'm a little worried by their air force, seems like they're racking up a fair number of airships. The new world is probably spitting them out. It would be easier to beat them if they had to build all of their own gropos, too...

I think the other teams must be underestimating just how dangerous Gillette will be if they are allowed to develop a whole new continent in peace. They should be rooting for us to take a big chunk of Gillette's mainland.

Ultimately, though, I'm sure Gillette would be saying something similar if the other teams had been supporting us. It's just frustrating when it feels like everything hinges on who the kingmakers decide to crown. It's more fun when the players cannot coordinate so closely, and everybody must fight for themselves.

That said, let's try to have some fun regardless, and hammer. This is shaping up to be an epic war, no matter how it turns out in the end.
If you know what I mean.

Long march continues. Starting to feel we don't have enough, but we'll had to try I guess. Couldn't sink a single Galleon despite of desparate effort frown.

Wow. That is a really big stack. If that's not enough, I'm glad you guys are playing the turns and not me.

They are aiming that we both grind each other down. Doing a headshot at their capital sets them back even if we leave them the new continent, so they probably want us to barely take it then stop.

But yeah, did they miss WHOLE STONKIN' CONTINENT FOR THEM TO MOVE TO? =p

Ah well. We've had fun being the slightly belligerent attacking force this game. Feels good.

Seems like we won't have enough. Not quite sure what to do from here. Also lots of pressure from the sea. We've lost all of our ships in the east so can't free our Cavs from there to keep the cities.

In-game: Sue for peace and go kill 3M.
Out of game: Call it.
I have to run.

Still moving forward. Was able to raze a city with 4 Airships in it with a Commando Cav. Eastern sea makes me cry.

After taking the shots fine tuned things so that we got Steam power. Trying to build some Ironclads that hopefully makes some of our cities a bit better defended.

After ending turn we found several coal resources already on our territory and also mined ones.
