Another ploy that I'd love to see someone try: pick Zulu and do a chariot rush.

More "lateral thinking"...

Okay, let's see. As Krill likes to say, India is a crutch for the micromanagerially impaired. If you can time your workers correctly, you can make do with more workers instead. With our start, we gain a worker turn from the fast worker when
- Pasturing pigs - Mining hills - Farming corn (if settling on the E spot) - Chopping forests With a financial river start, we might want to cottage before chopping. Still, India will definitely gains us some worker turns in addition to making micro easier. Zakalwe: I'd also love to see someone else try that ploy.
I have to run.
Some sandboxes:
- Elizabeth of India - Pacal of Inca - Pacal of Babylon Worldbuilder file, if you want to edit in your own combination.
I have to run.
There's some confusion as to whether we are first to pick or first to pick a snake pick position.
I assume we want first pick in the snake pick if we can choose? Or do we want to let someone else choose between Pacal and India for us by going second?
I have to run.
You are first in the snakepick and last in the turn order.
Seven is just being his usual wording precision fascist right now
No, I think scooter genuinely meant something else.
That the snake pick positions are chosen, with choosing happening in the reverse order of the turn order. Given that's not normally done for PBEMs with fixed turn order, I'm not sure why it's being done here, but that particular discussion seemed to've vanished down a rabbithole long before I stopped trying to follow it

Picking Pacal and hoping for Inca does seem tempting. Would you pick Inca if Pacal was off the table?
Being last in turn order, I think we need to weigh any wonder plans carefully. How does the trade route bug affect the value of the GLH? If we really do want a particular early wonder, I still say we should consider Fin/Ind.
If you know what I mean.

We can either go along with what I posted or argue some more. I'm fine either way, map is not quite done yet and I'm not due at work before Wednesday night. Your choice

Your choice Oh I'm happy to just get on with things, but I think Seven isn't just being a picky whatnot, he's genuinely saying he thinks we'd decided on scooter's proposal.
