Pretty much. Our Oracle plan was both ambitious and opportunistic. Maybe we should have been merely opportunistic (but that would make us Dogpile Target #1!!! instead of Dogpile Target #1) but without any real economic benefits.

And we haven't sacrificed that much, we were in a worse position in the 'poly demogame and we still got to a decisive lead. This time, the Civplayers don't have a better start than us.

IMO we weren't in a decisive lead in the poly game till the last turn of the game, and that was only because PAL did something dumb in their overconfidence.

I'm pretty sure RB would have cleaned up the western continent before PAL cleaned up the Eastern one (considering we were going to give support to Banana).

Which probably is futile, as I think nobody reads that forum anyway.

If you feel you have to ask, then I'm not sure it's a good idea. But I certainly understand the sentiment.

Rant thread = not entirely serious. wink

But yes, it sucks. We could probably be 15-20 turns further into the game already.

I can "understand" if their tactic is to be always last to finish the turn, but not ending their turn in that case is just idiotic.

Do you mean the Germans or CFC? Last turn CFC settled a city and then didn't end their turn until 24 hours later. This turn they settled a city right after the turn rolled, but still haven't ended turn.
