[SPOILERS] TT tries yet again to not be terrible

Pyramids would be good but we are up against 3 industrious civs and I think the RB consensus is now at the point where some people think that the pyramids = instant win.

It could be risky. If copper fell out near there then we might be able to whip and chop it but there is little natural production there atm which makes me reticent to commit to it.

Well, keep in mind that stone is 100% bonus while Industrious is only 50%. If an Industrious civ also has stone and wants to build the Pyramids you'll be at a disadvantage but otherwise the stone is the better boost.

yes. plus we're spiritual so pyramids = YUMMY

especially with our high food capital, we can afford many specialists smile. and only a plains tile that is riverside in the capital, so rep specialists are more appealing than cottages.

I then moved the scout SW into the forest. Going to finish a quick circle around the cap then head due south as the tundra up top suggests that I am probably up near the top of the map

well since you aren't reporting, I was forced to log into the game to see whats going on wink.

questions/observations
1. you're doing really well with early techs. I guess those lucky huts paid off wink.
2. are barbs on here?? I hope not, we don't seem to be close to another civ
3. there is a severe lack of happies in our neighborhood. There's the silk near our capital, but calender is a long way off, and I don't see anything else. pther than sugar that is way south of our capital in the jungle area - and again, a calender resource. I think this is the game telling us we have to get the pyramids, hehe. I think you should go all in and start planning for them now.

1. grow to size 5. the second workboat should complete about the same time. net the 2nd crabs, build a settler, settle the stone.
2. initial worker goes off with settler, build another worker - send it off to improve stone city as well.
3. capital can keep producing settlers, shouldnt need to whip with pigs + 2 crabs + 2 mines, should be fairly quick. slot military in as needed if barbs are on or for MP. settle third city for copper (hopefully, we don't have horses close). keep building settlers as long as our economy permits and we have the MP/military.
4. assuming we have copper, the following tech path after BW: mysticism (pre-req bonus to make masonry cheaper), polytheism, hinduism founds in stone city which pops borders quickly and makes it easier to improve (rice is second ring, and we'll need to chop forests into pyramids). then masonry.
5. in stone city: connect stone first, work it before rice is farmed to get granary built, 1 pop whip if you need to to get granary built, and then with 2 workers - farm the rice and chop all the forests to get pyramids built. maybe we even skip the granary and just go straight into pyramids, I don't know?

actually, I don't know. the only hammers that city will produce is the 1/4 stone quary, and maybe 1 more if you worked a plains tile at size 3. there are 6 forests in the BFC, which at 40 hammers a piece (with the stone connected) is only half of the pyramids. so maybe we need to build them in a 3rd city, or maybe we just need to chop forests outside our culture (whatever it takes to get it done). def would have to skip granary, now that I think about it... hmm, well lets see where the copper is, maybe it will be somewhere very useful, like in the stone city smile.
