I think you're fine. A quick WB test shows panthers and wolves would both only move onto the hill, not beyond it. Tooltip shows "doesn't receive defensive bonus", nothing about ignoring terrain.
Curiously, I had never noticed before that barb animals can't stack. I guess it should have been apparent since I've never seen it happen in game, but that was news to me anyway. Not that it applies to your situation here, just something I observed. Anyway, looks like your worker is safe for now.

If anyone has any better ideas for a dotmap, I'm very much open for advice, because I'm not entirely sure what to do with this lack of food resources.
To the west.
These are low priority, seriously lacking food. Need to explore further out there when horses are hooked up.
To the east
Deer city claims ice marble in 3rd ring. Wet Corn and a few hills is a decent link city to the lands a bit further east. Cow city has a ton of forests, a few hills, heaps of grassland. Also has fresh water for farms if needed.
To the south
Fish and wet corn to the south east, need to explore down there a bit better though. Jungle rice and ivory will be good for resources post IW. Cow and Fish looks like a nice city if I can defend it adequately, 4 hills, grass cow, fish, and a heap of grassland.

Also, MedScout found Cornflakes. EPs redistributed from 2metra to Cornflakes, who have met each other already.

This is a few days old, but I noticed I hadn't uploaded it, so it's better than nothing.
Barb warriors are out and about, fortunately my warrior was able to defend adequately.
The chariot you see being built has killed the bear on the west coast, and is about to explore the western lands to hopefully find some nice land to settle. My warrior found AT to the south (he has Stonehenge) and my scout found Brick to the south east of Cornflakes (from memory).
Also, Skeleton was built 1E of the cow.

Spider built, need to get my economy in order before I completely crash it. 2 conflicting priorities though, courthouses to reduce high maintenance, and Hereditary Rule for raising the happy cap (only 2 luxuries in gold and (soon to be hooked up) Ivory).

Moved my chariot under the axeman, saw 2 unprotected workers, but wasn't sure where I'd get bounced so I let them live.

WHY DECLARE WAR ON ME JUST TO RAZE MY CITIES. FFS.
All you're doing is ruining my game, and making a permanent enemy.

Just curious, what's the extent of the damage and do you have a plan for recovery?
