I didn't have much to say about the turns. Pretty much nothing happened. I didn't find anything interesting besides a Dungeon and I haven't met anyone.
My warrior finally reached the Dungeon and will most likely be eaten by a Griffon in the interturn.
I hooked up Gems this turn, Gold will follow soon, pushing my happiness which is nice.
There is a lot of copper, and it's positioned nicely. I'm first in soldiers only which means the others are gambling even more than I do.
Exploration will be followed by Education -> Animal Husbandry -> Philosophy/Masonry -> Festivals -> Bronceworking/Code of Laws -> Writing.
Worker will finish next turn I'll either overflow into Deruptus or one turn an Elder Council (if possible). Then comes another Warrior and a Settler.
Glens will grow next turn.

A little view into Cahir Abbey, I'll exactly fill up the food box this turn and grow, while putting 20(40) hammers into DBH. I'll swap to a settler (6t) next turn.
I hope to have a Capital with Deruptus Brewing House +30% since all the resources are right there, an Academy and The Great Library, producing tons of bakers.
Glens of Killybegs will grow slowly for the next few turns, Gold is just too good not to work it. I'll chop 1-3 forests there to speed up the Reliquary and Elder Council since I want an GS out of that city.
I still don't know where to put my next city. Either SW or NE from my capital to grab Marble. I want that Bone Palace! I'll decide once my warriors revealed the tiles around the NE Marble. The SW city would take/share the Pigs with GoK since there isn't any other food down there. For that reason, and because I want to finish Deruptus before swapping out of Religion I'll research Animal Husbandry before Education. Ran 0% science this turn, which should be enough to tech 100% through those techs.
CA will build Settler -> Deruptus -> Warrior -> Settler/Worker

I don't even know how to react or what to do to be honest. My game is getting destroyed by Griffons.
I need like 3 warriors just to guard my next settler now.... and I still haven't met anyone besides Sian.

Hell yeah it owes me!
My settler will come out two turns later since I've had to build two new warriors.
There would be a plus side to not meeting anyone. But since Sian knows where I am everyone who met Sian should/could know where I am as well.

Overview:
I'll finish Deruptus in 2 turns.
Glens of Killybegs finished it's Elder Council this turn. It will produce most likely a Great Scientist in 16 turns. I'll put one turn in a Pagan Temple so the new Warrior will get the +2xp. If I swap to Apprenticeship before finishing DBH I'll grow into unhappiness.
Techs should be Festivals -> Masonry -> Fishing -> Philosophy. I just hope I get the BP.

jalepeno Wrote:Hello,
I've just found your newly expanded borders (Glens of Killbegs I think). Congrats on your fast start! I didn't realize just how fast people would be to catch up with my river of blood advantage.
So far I've only met the Kuriotates, and am just now gaining the courage to send out new explorers. How about you? I'd appreciate any directions to meet the others.
Hope all is well,
Jalepeno
Yell0w Wrote:Hi, yeah I saw your BP last turn after my borders popped EOT. I apologize for not sending a greeting right away. Nice of you to do so!
I fear my start wasn't that fast comparatively I've lost a lot of units so far. On that subject there are barb animals to your warriors east so be careful exploring in that direction.
I have only met Sian so far.
What do you think about exchanging the locations of players we have met. I would speed up making contact and don't forget the 3% tech bonus for techs other civs (you've met) know.

Yeah thats right. I've got to wait another turn before moving my settler -.-
Far more interesting is: Sian
The city is planted this turn and one tile west of the Incense.
Is he thinking he can get away with this.... I mean he doesn't leave me a choice really.
I'll swap to Bronze Working. Glens of Killybegs will start producing warriors next turn. Cahir Abbey will finish DBH next turn and an Elder Council the turn after that and will start producing warriors as well. I have to get rid of that city. He doesn't leave me any choise. There are 6 tiles between his city and my capital.
I don't understand his thinking... If there would be a whole lot of forests, but there ain't. So even if he gets WotF in the next few turns he won't have a military advantage here.
I won't react at all to this, I am sure it's better to say nothing.
Having to attack him this early is stupid and will probably cost me the BP.
I'll keep the save for a few more hours if someone here sees things differently please speak up.
Diplomacy:
jalepeno Wrote:Hey,
No worries, I'm just glad we met. Thanks for the head's up re animals. I'm sticking to forest hills for now; hopefully I won't get double teamed.
I'd be happy to exchange location info. From the jungled rice your borders just expanded onto, moving 11 tiles due West will give you contact with TBS. Any help finding/making contact with Sian would be much appreciated!
Best,
Jalepeno
Yell0w Wrote:Hej,
if you move your warrior from his position to the NW around the lake you'll find Sian. It will probably be 12 tiles.
Good luck fighting the Lion.
Yell0w
EDIT: DHO! I meant to say NW now I can't send him any more messages due to the one message per turn rule -.-
EDIT2: Sent the turn

Researched Education, will swap civics next turn. Finished DBH. Took a long look at my options here again. His borders popped this turn, which means he'll be able to see me 3 turns in advance, which should be enough time for him to put up some defense. I still don't see another way, this is the direction I need to go for commerce etc. A Little later in the game he could basically ride out of his city into my capital and at least two more cities, I can't let that city stand.
So while Sian and I fight an early costly war the others will drive away with the game. I'm frustrated already.
I looked at the option of a monk rush, the thing is that monks cost 5 times as much as warriors, I could two turn monks out of my capital and wouldn't waste a lot of hammers building warriors but it will just take too long.
I forgot to mention RoK fell on T41, adopted by HK on T44
This turn FotL was discovered and adopted by TBS, who has cast legends a while back (too lazy to look up when).
Diplomacy:
jalepeno Wrote:Hey,
I don't have visibility on a lake to my bloodpet's northwest. Is that above the jungle line (i.e. horizontal line with the jungled rice?). I've got another bloodpet out that west that I might use to try to find him.
Oh, did you send the save? From your email I thought you might have, but the tracker didn't update.
Best,
Jalepeno
Yell0w Wrote:Sorry I ment to said NE, not NW. In other words Sian is 9 tiles N and 7 tiles W from your warrior. I couldn't send another message cause the one message per turn rule. If you move NE you'll hit a little lake eventually.

The big turn 50 report
First, I reasoned with myself, I can't afford attacking Sian right now.. I'll give up that prime city location, though sooner or later I'll try to take it.
Not a lot has happened in the last four turns. I still haven't met anyone else.
Sian is at four cities, jalepeno is at three.
Overview, and city screen shots:
I'm lacking some workers still. I'll get them after my settler finished out of Cahir Abbey. I need Glens of Killybegs to continue producing warriors. I'll hit exactly 15 production there soon, unfortunately missing 1 hammer for 1 turn warriors.
Demographics:
I don't know what to make of it to be honest. Someone has huge amounts of population and food. Maybe it's HK since he is the only one who could reach that much happiness, though he would have to have huge amounts of gold for that. Maybe it's TBS.. he casted legends a while back and with his unique buildings and a lot of happiness resources I guess it's possible, also he probably is the best player in this game. Not that I'm 2nd in population and the 1st has more than three times the population. I'm not worried about food so much, I could work more farms I just don't need them right now.
Also someone got a big boost in GNP over the last turn, I was 2nd, only a few points away from beeing first
If I get the BP I'll swap back to religion giving me two for the Pagan Temples. That will help a lot to be sure. A lot is hanging on BP which makes my gameplan vulnerable.
Instead of attacking Sian I'll take the inferior city spot you can see in the overview screen shot.
Also the 10% commerce buff from DBH will need some more time. I'll be able to hook up rice after I research Bronze Working.
My workers will finish a farm in Inishbofin next turn, I'll then continue with a Quarry and a mine. I am not sure if I'll just wait for religion to come or if I'll build another Reliquary there. I've got one forest chop that would speed that up.
The to be planted city will get it's Corn and Cows hooked up and then I'll chop both forests to get out a Reliquary fast. After popping borders I'll get Horses and Copper in my radius. I'll be able to hook up the Cotton in about 11 turns, giving another
Last but not least: Diplomacy
jalepeno Wrote:No worries, thanks for the directions. Now that the save is moving again, I'll be heading up to find him soon.
Any new contacts since we last spoke? My explorers have been just finding lots of empty land.
Yell0w Wrote:Nope no new contacts. As mentioned before... my explorers never returned.
On another subject, one that I expect you'll be discreet about, what are your plans with Sian? I mean you either will moroi rush or you won't, either way I'm gonna be able to see it via the power graph. If you are thinking about it, and if you are thinking about hitting Sian, I'd not be opposed, more that that I'd even help!
Hitting me shouldn't accomplish too much. Either I'm able to defend or you force my WS. Either way you ain't getting a lot out of it.
Forgive me to be so blunt but I like to get these things out of the way quick.
Yell0w
jalepeno Wrote:Hey Yell0w,
I appreciate your openness. tbh, I hadn't considered a Moroi rush at all. The map is so lush that I'm focused on expanding right now. Sian seems a bit far away right now, but if he's closer around the worldwrap, then I'd certainly be open to cooperation there in the not-to-distant future.
Best,
Jalepeno
Well he won't rush, I doubt he would have targeted me, though he could have forced my WS in all likelihood (<- this is surely spelled weird, I have checked it, it is right, but really weird). I would have liked him rushing, especially rushing Sian. At best ending in a bloodbath for both sides. Most likely he will go for vampires now, which will take him quite a while, which is nice too. The longer no one (but me) is waring the better for me.
