Upon consideration it looks like a terrible idea. If I keep his cities my economy would be tanked for forever. If I raze his cities, I will be just left with my initial shitty island.

Miky lost another city to Zanth. Come on, man, all you need to do now is to just stuff everything with Longbows.

I'm currently running 21 specialists; I don't think I would switch off Caste System, so this number will remain high (though several will be fired after golden age as I actually starving some cities). Also, when I logged in to count specialists, I saw this: Pretty dumb move. He can see clearly that I have enough gold to upgrade it into a mace at the start of the next turn and he has just thrown away all his trade income from me for absolutely nothing. (He has open borders only with Myki and Zanth who, combined, have 17 cities to his 12)
Bacchus bulbed guilds with a great merchant. Also, it turned out that this stupid island city actually has iron under it, his only source.
He has three galleys in water, supposedly loaded with maces. If he would want to attack this very turn, he would be able to raze Lukomorye and Lemuria but this is all (and though losing two cities, of course, hurts, I always considered them pretty expandable); if he gives me just a couple turns, I will be safe. I bet on the fact that it would be pretty stupid for him to attack. He can't hope to actually make any gains; most he can hope to achieve in this way is to ruin my game. And that would only mean a victory for Furungy. On the other hand, he has a perfect opportunity to expand into Myki's underbelly:
Sent to Bacchus this:
Hieraconpolis is his bridge city to Myki. I wanted to say that he can do whatever he wants in this direction and I wouldn't backstab him.
Zanth razed another city of Myki's, killing a great general in process. Have no idea what can be possibly happening there, given that Zanth is attacking with axes into longbows.
Quantity has a quality all its own?
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I posted the power graph earlier - Myki didn't build any units even while Zanth's power was spiking. I now think that he was saving pop for future longbow whips. Apparently, this plan didn't work. |
