[Spoilers] - dtay in pb27

By the way, I discovered your city maintenance problem - I had forgotten that city maintenance calculation uses the actual map dimensions, not just the listed WORLDSIZE. So, that's why you're seeing them be so large in your sim.
Hmm. Well, it won't have impacted my sims since I don't run out of hut-gold until after I was simming to, but could impact judaism time if i go for that, i'll have to see about fixing it before then.
I found what at first glance looks like maybe an even better 2nd city site, but if looking closer is worse for a bunch of reasons ![]() I could found a city NW of the pigs 1t faster than the desert hill plant down south, but I lose a bunch of commerce from not working a riverside wheat / bare floodplain, lose food cause not working floodplain before food hooked up, don't actually get the pigs hooked up faster than the wheat because they're on the wrong side of the city and on a hill, worker will have trouble dancing back, and the location is less useful to whip a settler out of for city #3. The commerce issue is actually huge, the oracle plan has a leeway of I think a single commerce, maybe two. I could manage it with the new city site, but it would require efficiency sacrifices elsewhere to get the commerce out of the capital (more turns working the fish while building settlers instead of the ivory, which loses me some hammers, hammers which prove vital some 15 turns later for getting an extra turn working a fish as opposed to a phf, so therefor 5f, so a turn slower city growth, etc etc it snowballs). I really should write the plan somewhere, right now I just have a ton of worker-dancemoves and tile shifts in my head. EDIT: but certainly nice to find the pigs, for city 3, 4, or 5 will prove very nice.

That would be a really funny troll thing to do. Sticky a random player's thread... and watch all the other players freak out as they try to figure out why.
