Some screenies. Working towards 3 cities total by turn 38. Oracle by 53-55 perhaps? How much do you think we should risk in terms of scouting Borsche's lands? War declaration and move in to scout or keep the tenuous peace?

On a personal note, I spilled tea over my laptop moments ago. It hasn't died yet, but if it does, I may have difficulty playing turns outside the time I'm at home with my old desktop. Any advice for spills?

we've got two options for copper

Which do you think we should grab? The copper in the south is surrounded by a lot of jungle, but 1W of it could be a decent spot for defending? Also, should we move into Borsche's lands? I'm not able to play my move till much later in the evening (eastern standard time), so I'll think about it a bit.

They both don't look really appealing at all. I'd like to scout the remaining tiles around the northern one before deciding.

I think there's not a huge downside to invading borsche with a warrior to see what we can see, so let's do it.

Sleazing Borsche out of his copper would be pretty darn funny. We really ought to settle on copper and fast, chop out maybe an axe or two and just crush him.

idk about chopping out axes, it's a risky proposition and we stand to lose a lot if we don't actually kill him. lets definitely keep him honest with our warriors though, including killing his scout if we get the chance.

Is it just me, or does it seem like MSCC is in a turnsplit?

Edit: I've also edited our demohacking spreadsheet.

Edit 2:
Got confused towards the end with the +12 score changes. Couldn't possibly be iron working...
Borsche has wheel + BW probably. He gained 4k power

If you have time, go on the demosheet and help me figure this out. First time I'm doing this.

looks like theres a plains hill there. i think settling where the lions are might be the best choice for a copper city. the jungle copper has no easy access to food and will be a dud city until IW

also what do you think about wardeccing borsche with our warrior in the southeast next turn?

best case scenario he's only got the one warrior which we have full vision of and we can force him into some suboptimal micro. worst case is he has a second warrior fortified in his city, but we can still potentially make a mess of his micro without losing anything. I think we should do it, but will wait to hear what you think.

in the last game i played (and won) i managed to do a handful of similar pokes of my neighbouring civ (boudica of mongolia) through the early game which was pretty effective at slowing them down enough that i didn't get destroyed by highly promoted keshiks. i never really committed much (ie it wasn't an all out invasion) but even small prods like this, especially early, can have a big impact. it may even put borsche on tilt smile

set research to pottery and moved a worker to another forest as per the micro plan.

i've just realised if we want to wardec, i can't take the second turn yet, so i've left it unplayed. this potentially may tip borsche off, but even if we don't go ahead with it, i like the idea of toying with his mind smile

Let’s try and choke him. His copper is under our thumb and we really need to slow him down.

Really don’t like the lion up there, if we lose the battle with scout, that’ll really slow us down in terms of settling...
