Hello former neighbour!

Any thoughts on why taking that island wasn't a priority? Or to reword, why was LaBoheme a preferred target for your Knights over the many cities that that island represented?

Well, I thought I had a good relation with FinHarry, so I didn't want to ruin that (I didn't think they would attack me, even though, as it can be seen now, it was a pretty good decision). Besides, I couldn't keep those island cities (the best ones), because FinHarry's main land was really close (and I don't have any naval power).

I figured that if I conquered all WLP's land, I had a shot at winning the game. The second attack at La Boheme was just a way to slow him down during the GA, which would make way for my cannon attack later (from what I could see through my EP spending, that GA would get him loads of techs and I didn't want that to happen). It was not a spiteful move, it was a strategic one (again, if my strategy was good or bad, that is for you to decide lol ). I actually think I successfully delayed WLP and hindered him quite a bit by doing that. But, now, I won't be able to capitalize on that...

FinHarry did a move that I'm unhappy about. They offered me a Peace Treaty last turn. I had to decline it to take a look at things, but than I reoffered it, with the same conditions. So, this turn, they didn't accept it. My understanding was that they'd accept it, so I didn't do defensive moves.

Oh, well...

Guys, I need some lurker/admin input here. I'm receiving 100 gold per turn from Bigger (poked bear) and I don't seem to remember having done this deal. Really, I never accepted such a deal. I received an offer from plako to seel him a city for a lot of gold, but I didn't accept that. But I was checking my deals and there was this deal with Bigger...

Can someone check with him what's that all about? There's gotta be something I'm missing... I know I can't cancel the deal for some more turns...

Incidentally, that's probably why my economy was doing so good. I figured it was due to the city losses lowering my costs, but it's not. Not sure how I missed this for so long.

Thanks!

Can you 100gpt deal be cancelled (is it over 10t old?) If not, how many turns are left on it?

Ichabod - I cleared telling you this with the lurkers, since if not for mysterious events, you would have seen it anyway.

Bigger offered you a deal where you gave him 900 gold in exchange for 100 gold per turn - like a short term loan repaid with 10% interest.

So that's what that is.

I must have accepted that with a misclick or something, because I don't remember it. I received like a billion deals in some of these turns... Well, it seems to be a good deal to accept anyway, considering my circumnstances...

Like I've said in the tech thread, I'm really grateful, 2metra.

Sorry about the lousy state of my Civ, I'm not a good player and things get even worst when I'm playing every turn in 5 minutes.

If there's anything I can help with, just ask.

I would like a short resume of the situation. Who plays after whom, any deals (as much as it is possible at all), any ongoing with short stops war struggles, etc.

We play after WLP and Fintourist/Old Harry. I'll say more about the overall situation tomorrow. I'd probably expect further agression from dtay. Other than those, most players seem willing to help us, with resource gifts and the like.
