Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

[SPOILERS] RB PB7 LURKER Thread

It won't do anything long lasting, Seven has too much defence in depth.

Given the last mackseven update it looks like Commoxenu may not even get a city...

Also, I read the latest HAK update and shake my head... Among others he's building a monument in his capital smile

Given Seven's latest post, I wonder if he'll ragequit. Would lose some respect for him if he does.

Pindicator just got scared off his HG plan by Team FFH's random blustering in the diplo thread (unless I missed something and they really are building the HG).

Yeah I am not clear if they are really building it or not.

The HG is tricky - you generally don't want to build an aqueduct unless you know you can get the HG. With other wonders you at least have some failgold

No, you make your HG attempt in a city where the aqueduct will be useful even if the wonder attempt fails. Anything off fresh water and coast is usually appropriate, or a city with lots of flood plains.

Sure. But generally you don't want to be building an aqueduct this early. So even if you build one in a city that will eventually use one, the opportunity costs of those hammers can hurt.

The other thing is that, unless you have a city with a lot of forests and spare worker labor, it's usually your capital that can produce it in any type of reasonable timeframe

Naw, you use diplo to convince everyone else not to build it (as you're just about to finish). You use this extra time to maximise the city spam. See PBEM17, Darrells thread, for more details. :neenernee

Where is that even hinted at?

He's understandably annoyed at being slowed down by a hopeless attack, that's all. Or to quote Mackoti:

mackoti Wrote:Man this one the most irational atacks i ever seen.

EDIT: Change of topic, not addressed at Oledavy:
Generally speaking, people keep knocking on the top players. When they eat a turn due to bugs, or let rule infractions slide, they receive no credit. When they complain about stuff they're arrogant assholes with no life.
I have to run.

If you think about PBEM23 you are quite right. The action from luddite there was absolute low and at least I would have understood if you had quited to play right then.

OTOH I find it amusing that mackoti now whines about the attack but was quite happy to accept the equal irrational (& shady) play (unit gifting etc) from ludditie in 23.

EDIT: I just read Sevens latest post in PBEM 29. Uhm I don't know about your take novice but the last sentence could easily be read as fitting the a.a.-category.

Bastard! I blame Krill, he was around specifically to prevent me for falling for this kind of stuff smile.
