Okay a few thoughts... This will probably be total "stream of consciousness" style, but here we go:
1. I think we can say with 90% certainty that Portugal is attacking us and Mukha is a liar. Stating the obvious here, but we need to proceed as if an attack is incoming right now.
2. Are we getting axes from Inca still? I mean yeah they get owned by chariots while defending, but they attack them just fine, and besides, we can use all the units we can get just to slow them down, even if they just get annihlated. Stall tactics until we get some spears churning...
3. Do we want to consider asking Byzantium for help? Shoot them a quick message just saying "hey we think chariots will be incoming any turn now, if you've got anything in the area would you mind if we used it? Can't hurt to ask...
4. We should probably do as Square Leg suggested and queue up warriors. Sounds like we will hopefully get hunting next turn based off the recent email from Yaz, so whip two spears next turn. Do we have enough gold to upgrade any of our warriors to a spear next turn as well?
5. I was thinking of how we should handle this with Mukha. Send one that is borderline threatening just to see what happens. Threaten to mass email everyone with all the lies he's told us in the past few days to damage his credibility, and maybe get some sympathy. Tell him the email will be sent the minute he alt+clicks on our name. And yes I would be willing to compile such an email and actually send it to all his allies .
I think I covered it all... your thoughts?

They should still be enroute.

I'll send an email to Heracles notifying them about the situation.

Yeah, this one is obvious. Can't remember the exact cost, but you can check our treasury in the screen shots I posted.

Lets just kick some butt? Though I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with the settler yet. Got any bright ideas?

I'm not really sure about the settler either to be honest... I don't know if we want to just go ahead and found by the pigs or what? It doesn't do us much good sitting in one of our cities... Should we just go found it and if it gets razed, it gets razed? I'm fine with just about anything at this point. And yeah I'll throw together a pleasant email to send to Portugal.

Swarriors:
Smash the Lion Killer - on his way homewards from Sumeria. Going to take on a sentry position in hopes of being able to spot approaching DJ chariots.
Stitch - scouting near Cath Bruig's western border. Also acting as a sentry.
Strike & Storm - garrison duty in our cities.
Saxemen:
Snovice - standing on a forest at our eastern border. Was supposed to escort the settler.
Saxeman - on the road between Sandograd and Scooterville.
Saxeman - being completed in Sandograd.
Combat Engineers:
4 Sworkers - all standing near Sandograd.
Also be aware that our cities are equiped with granaries and barracks, maxed at size 4 and 5 respectively and about to grow above the happiness cap.

Might be a good idea to found north of the Iron, where we can chop a bunch of spearmen. Just need to get the city connected first but that shouldn't be too hard. I'll have a closer look at it and do whatever makes most sense once I play the turn.

When I think about it, I actually wouldn't be too surprised if DIM comes for us as well. Now that would be interesting!
I'm going to kill Ruff's and DIM's warriors if I get the chance. Can't have them lurking around near our border and jump at the chance to cause some trouble. Especially the copper mine can't be compromised.

Alright, here's the draft I put together, let me know what you think. It's pretty snide and has a couple obvious lies in there, but given the circumstances I don't think it really matters all that much . The tone of the email is pretty intentional, best case scenario it catches them off guard, worst case scenario nothing happens and they continue on with their plans. Here it is:
Quote:Portugal,
Oh hey guys, just figured I'd drop in to give you a little update. First off, we are less than enthused about the fact that Mukha has been lying to us these last few days like we kind of expected. We are completely fine with being rejected from CAN, but we are less than fine about people screwing with us and lying repeatedly. I will hand it to you though Mukha, that was clever the other day trying to drop that little tidbit to convince us that you were leaving us alone, and you were going to backstab France with all those chariots. That was clever... You fooled us for a few minutes, but that was about it. We were pretty sure that you were lying, and then just recently one of your "allies" in CAN ratted you out and informed us that you are sending chariots at us. Thankfully we have been expecting that, and will have a few surprises prepared . I hope it was fun whipping all your cities into the ground!
The next matter is that of your honor. We've gotten multiple emails and an hour-long chat where you (Mukha) have directly lied to us about your intentions. I think your allies would, at the very least, be a little disturbed by your willingness to directly lie over and over again. So I will be preparing an email with a log of all your lies and I'll mass email everyone we have contact with. We will probably save it as a draft, and the moment you alt+click our name in-game, it will be sent! We'll have a few friends forward it on to everyone else too, so don't you worry about them .
I believe that will be all for the moment, until then, we will eagerly be awaiting your chariots!
Have a lovely day,

Thanks! Hopefully Sandover finds it equally amusing .
Sandover, might we consider allowing Ruff's warrior to live? Only reason I say that is just his demeanor in emails today - we could offer to let his warrior go if he promises to not join in on the war. In return, we will promise to never enter his borders (while at war) with Spraetorians for the entirety of this game. Seems like a win-win to me..?
Only reasoning with that is - say we survive this, and CAN fragments. We might not want to burn every bridge, and if we can salvage a relationship with Ruff, he might not forget it later on. Just a thought, if you want to kill it I'm totally fine with that too.

Send away!
Want to send Ruff an email then? If you can have him back off from the copper mine, without actually having him know it's there, then I'm all for it. Just remember that he is supposedly on very friendly terms with Cath Bruig, and didn't comment on that when I mentioned their relations in an email today, so if he do find it we can't afford to let his warrior live.
