Alright, I went ahead and just played this one in the hopes we might see another turn today. There were really only a couple of decisions that I made/needed to be made so I'll talk about those.
First off, with the settler complete, I went ahead and started running the first scientist in Eden. This allowed me to cut tech to 30% and still get Iron Working. We're probably going to tech Sailing before Mathematics, but that's still a little bit up in the air. Nonetheless, we'll have almost no overflow and be saving gold the next couple turns, so we've got maximum flexibility.
Eden will grow to 4 and start working the second scientist in 6t after it gives the corn to Gems city next turn, so barring us needing to whip or some other shenanigans it should be 20t to a scientist so in theory we could found an Academy on t91. Not lightning fast by any means, but not terrible. Eden has been the MVP of the early game, banging out two critical settlers, a couple workers and some warriors at needed times but its era of being much more than food filler is coming to an end. RIP in pepperonis, Eden.
As much as I wanted the chariots to heal, I did some math and figured out we really need to first the location of 2nd gold city soon so we can figure out the worker actions and such. So I did a little exploring.
We need to see more, but I think it boils down to the two spots noted by ? and checkmark. I think the checkmark spot is superior in that it can borrow fish from Atlantis to get started and then claims both gold and wheat. But I'm also not sure if we actually want/need that much overlap. The ? gets gold and crabs first ring but is otherwise clunky. Again, we'll wait until we explore along the arrowed path before deciding for sure.
Other than that, just continued the things Lewwyn discussed last turn. Shangri-La will be settled at the gems next turn, settler for gold is about 6t from being planted depending on our decision on final location.
FWIW, TBS just had a huge power spike so I'm guessing he grabbed an early IW as well.
