RBP3 [Spoilers] Capac of Mali

Onto turn 10: we completed Agri, and I selected AH as our next tech and ended turn. Tech related score increases for HRE & Byz (probably Agri). Pop increase for Aztec.

Assuming we don't meet any other civs, I'd propose to move the warrior SW-SW to the grass forest hill.

It's only really safe to move onto that hill if we're the last person to play. If we're not the last, someone else could show up 2NW or 2NE of our capital on the same turn, and we couldn't get our warrior back to the capital to defend in time. Even if we are the last to move, and they show up on turn after we move onto the hill, it would still be a race as to who could play the turn first which would determine whether we would be able to defend our capital.

Don't you have a rule that the attacker chooses the half of the turn split, or something like that? It wouldn't be a race.

The attacker 'chooses' in the sense of declaring war before the defender has finished his turn to go first, or after, in which case the attacker moves second. He also has to get his 'ducks in a row' the turn before the DoW, so as not to make an illegal double move.

I think sw sw is fine. It would take a perfect storm for somebody to appear on the right tile, be agressive and assume our warrior isnt closer.

It is unlikely but it is quite possible to happen. A smart team will be able to see our borders from the fog and arrange it so that they show up on the diagonal of our capital so we have the least notice possible. Plus, although I'd love to see what that hill tile reveals, I don't expect we'll gain much advantage by scouting it out right now. Once we get our second warrior we can send one northwest and one to the hill in the southeast. Or we can send our warrior to scout that hill a few turns before the second warrior finishes, so that if the first warrior can't make it back the second warrior would finish in time to defend.

A lion appeared, so I chickened out and moved the warrior back into our borders, and ended turn. Techs completed for Maya, Korea, and England (Agri), and growth for HRE.

That lion has put me off going onto the hill somewhat in case we get damaged if it attacks, so how about fortifying on the Rice tile to cover the worker?

I'm pretty sure that barb animals won't enter cultural borders, but there's no harm in leaving the warrior on the Rice.

Sorry, didn't make myself clear: fortify to deter a worker steal should one of our neighbours come out of the fog from that direction. A new turn has started, so I'll log in see what, if anything, is new...

Tech score increases for Carthage & Aztecs, with the latter founding Buddhism (and the former learning Agri, I think).

Moved the warrior onto the rice.

I'm going to be travelling on business from tomorrow lunchtime until late Saturday afternoon, so I won't be able to play the turns, and I doubt I'll have much time online either. Here's a link to the sim of Sirian I set up:

It's the 'AH-BW' sheet and it's very basic, but everything has lined up so far (though I think there may be a mistake on T21 where there should be another hammer). If you notice any smoke then you can edit it.
(FWIW the BW-AH sheet goes wonky at T27 when I experimented in my sandbox but couldn't be bothered updating the spreadsheet.)

Can you also grab screenshots of the demogs when you log in to play, as I'm trying to keep up with these (to some extent).
