The IT thread is safe. Tis about the only other one for now. Well, until the DRAMA starts!

Are you talkin' about me?
Anyway, let me think for a moment . . . .
Pasture: 6 turns
Mines: 4 turns each (3)
Farm: 5 turns(?)
23 turns of Worker actions (more if we build some roads).
I'd like to have Bronze Working done before the Worker runs out of things to do. Perhaps Mining > Hunting > BW > Archery if necessary. Otherwise, I'd favor getting Archery sooner rather than later, unless Sullla was obscenely kind to put Bronze in our BFC.
Also, I'd like to bring up the matter of "C&D." Would either of you volunteer to keeping a spreadsheet with certain important information? There's some info on the Demographics screen that would be very useful to keep track of turn-by-turn: GDP, Production, Crops, Soldiers. Both our own, and the rival best/worst.
Score is also good to track, but I can do that if necessary since I can see that information on Civ Stats. I can also do some of the legwork of interpreting the info needed. I still collect it in my own game, but since I'm on my own, it's gotten overwhelming.
Oh, I'd also like to know the Approval Ratings for the first few turns, just on the off-chance to see if anyone settled on a luxury resource.
Is that doable? I can tell you how to format the spreadsheet, too! The first column should be the turn #(including the game date is also helpful), and then a column for our own values, best, worst, etc. They can be color-coded for easy reference, too. Heh heh.

Well, since my esteemed colleagues are too occupied to keep us on top of the ever-important post count, I suppose that I will have to add a bit.
We should be looking at a 12-turn Worker, correct? 2 excess food + 3 hammers = 5 hammers. 60/5 = 12. What is the ETA on Animal Husbandry? Will it be ready? I recall that it is a relatively slow tech at the start of the game.
The good news is that we can start the Farm first if necessary. Depending on when AH is due, it may be best to leave it incomplete as the pastured Sheep are more valuable.
After Worker, then what? I think Warrior > Warrior. 5 turns each. First stays home, second goes out scouting? Normally I'd do it the other way around, but no need to be reckless, I suppose. Though when we finish Hunting, a Scout might not be a bad idea depending on the situation.
Also note that this is Emperor difficulty. Barbarians will be a threat! Not as bad as on Immortal and Deity, but they'll ruin the day of anyone unprepared.
I suppose not much else to say at the moment without tech times. Actually, whoever logs in next, please post the times for both AH and Mining. I'm not the best at MM, but we should try and minimize the Worker's downtime. At least we can build roads if nothing else . . . .

Us English have to go to sleep at some point!!!
I agree with Worker>Warrior>Warrior as our plan, both for growth and extra security.
As far as C&D goes, I'm not sure what to do. If you could set up a spreadsheet for us so I only have to handle data, then I could probably manage to work on that. At the moment I don't know where to start and what to document. A little tutoring and I'm sure either myself or Kyan could keep it running!
Currently I count 11 civs who have settled on turn one.

Excuses, excuses. Well, I put an Excel spreadsheet together, pre-formated. OK, can't attach excel files here, so I will mail it to you . . . . But it has spots for the big 4: GNP, Prod., Crops, Soldiers, and spot for our values, rival best, and rival worst.
Additional C&D options are available once we get visuals of opponents' cities. You can also make a spreadsheet that tracks everyone's scores, but like I said, I can probably do that since I don't have to log-in to get that info. Good for tracking research, city founding, whippings, etc.
When collecting the info, it's usually best to wait as long as possible since the demographics information (and everything else) updates as players do stuff, but get it when you can, no biggie.
Lookin' forward to more info.

Thanks Whosit - really is appreciated by our many lurkers ;-) and ourselves!
Just read it and its fine - only a couple of civs left to end turn. Kyan is with his 'ball and chain' (hahaha Kyan) tonight so mainly unavailable!
Should I log in now before end of turn for demographics tracking or is it better to do it at start of next turn and take those details for last turn?

Hey, checking in after work.
Ok, i dont have excel but i do have ms works which functions in the same fashion i believe so i'm happy to give it a go if you want.
I'm no C&d expert though.
Erm animal husbandry should finish 2 turns after our worker does by my estimations so we can use those 2 turns to road the sheep?
you know, for a capital this really is very poor. I'm thinking later on, we turn this into a production powerhouse and move our palace elsewhere. Somewhere that actually has, y'know, some good resources
And no lurker wants to be the first to comment on the plight of the babylonians?
