[Spoiler] sunrise089 - Suleiman of Inca (Vets)

Speaker Wrote:Wait, you are happy with Suleiman now?

I'm coming around. IMP is better after seeing my capital. I do wish I had the starting Quechua rather than a warrior though, especially since I may take a 50/50 battle versus Krill rather than a 68%.

Hey, I already apologized for that, and gave myself the smoke smiley! By the way, when are you going to start playing League of Legends with the rest of us? Even Atlas plays!

I know, and actually it won't be a big deal long term. A warrior isn't a problem for the same reason having 6 Quechuas won't be a problem - MP units. The timing just so happened that I had the warrior in position to cover my 2nd city right when Krill's warrior came into view.

Oh Come On! A $#^ forest grew in the tile I wanted Krill's warrior to move in frown

That's the current turn with colored dots for the units' locations last turn. Wheel is due in 1t and copper will be hooked up next turn. I assume Krill will move his warriors onto the forested hill, so I just have to hope I can get an axe there to kill them before Krill gets a stronger unit in place.

City three founded, and unless it runs away one of Krill's two warriors dies next turn. New city will start on Oracle next turn, have Marble in 3t, and the have straight forest chops. I could of course still loose the wonder to a better production city, but I think I'll at least be competitive, and I'd much rather have the culture in my new city.

T38 - Lost Oracle by 1t or same turn (not sure how PBEM works). I refuse to let myself regret it though since I promised myself I'd only build it ASAP in the hammer-efficient (post-marble+masonry) way and not burn 6 chops at my capital.

I will plant my fourth city next turn. Krill has planted near my borders, and I have a weak front (since I was anticipating Oracle culture). If Krill is being his usual self he planted aggressively hoping he could get away with stealing part of my land. The question is do I try calling him on it knowing he probably has metal, or do I try to do the same thing to darrell? wink

Krill probably posted, but I got lucky and won a 25% battle to threaten Krill's aggressive front city. We'll see if he can get anything inside the city to cover.

That city is an example of why being next to Krill sucks - in order to make my life difficult Krill had to move his warrior in such a way to spot my stack, which meant ignoring the empty forested hill that could look down upon my city. He made the right move. Then the only move his axeman could make that would really mess me up was not moving into his city but rather staying in the open and forcing the attack across a river. The also made the right move there. I may be underestimating my other rivals, but I don't think all of them would have spotted my attack and defended against it as well as Krill.

Can you post a picture of where Krill's city is and where you attacked, what the defenses were and what you had in your stack?

Could you make a screenshot showing where he planted the city?

He planted the city 1S of the pigs in the above picture. Yes, quick close to me. Darrell on the other hand is like 12+ tiles away.

My "stack" has a wounded axe, two quechuas, and a warrior (Speaker, if the lack of C2 or the archery bonus costs me the city capture....). Krill's city is empty, but we'll see if he gets anything into it.
