[SPOILERS] HitAnyKey's Thread for the Jumbled Masses of Crap within his Brain

Okay, if BW still finishes in the same amount of time, then working spices instead of coast should be fine--honestly, I think I might be confused since in my sandbox I think the silk was 3F1H, not 2F1H1C--though that happened so long ago I don't remember frown

Thanks for updating at least--it's still your game, and I'm not updated with everything (though pictures are still helpful wink )

So we are still currently the only Civ that has grown above Size 1. Kinda surprises me about that. Or would that basically be normal timing if everyone built a Worker first and is still trying to finish their first growth?

Yeah, that just meant everyone went worker first--how many PRO civs are there though; I assume they might have grown by now?

So we're now working on our Settler. Here's a view of our land to the north and south:

I currently have no idea where I might want to settle the city yet. Any thoughts?
I'll look at it in more detail later and try to think of some things. Later, I'll try to get a bunch more detailed screenshots to post if you have any inclination to redo the sandbox to have a visual of what things look like.
I'm leaning towards going north, since we'll be improving most of our northern tiles around the capital and a city in the north will be able to share things better. It also has the cows & rice to improve. And also starts building a barrier to my only known neighbor, since Seven is up there. Also less forests to trudge through to get to a decent spot.

You can also log into the civ to look around yourself. Password is HAK.

Yeah, my gut says north too, to try to keep Seven on the other side of those peaks. I think the two main northern cities we would want to build are 3 and 6 spaces straight north of the capital (1W of the cow, 1NE of the rice respectively). The one problem with the cow cities is that its main benefit is that it shares the fish with the capital to give it a boost--but that's the main food resource the capital has tongue
Still, I'm not sure what other cities you would want to settle by the peaks--you could settle the site 1E of the rice to get all three resources, and it does have the rice first ring--we would need to research Agriculture next though for that site to be practical (we don't have it yet, right?).

So next turn BW comes in and we move on to Wheel, we start the chop, and 4 turns til our Settler. If our Copper shows up somewhere other than directly north, we may want to consider the 2nd city elsewhere...but we'll think about that when/if we see any Copper.

Wow, I have two sources of Copper almost right next to each other:

And one is within my capital's fat cross, so that means the spot we chose for our 2nd city is still good to go.
And even better....it's on a river. So don't even need any roads after mining it.

So, are you going onto a worker next, as I planned in the sandbox? Any ideas of what you'd do after that? When do you want to revolt to Slavery? When is Settler 2 coming out--I could see it anywhere from right after the worker, to immediately at size 4, to after we get another warrior out, to after Worker 3 even. What is city 2 doing--Warrior, Worker, Scout?

Yes to the worker next. Everything else I'll have to think about tonight after I get home from work. smile
Though I'm going to assume without looking that I'm going to want to grow on a warrior next and then do another worker after that.

Just realized we have something somewhat important to decide on before I play this turn. Settler completed and is on his way to the city spot. City will be founded in 2 more turns.

The worker....what to do with him right now? Do I mine in place? Or do I spend 2 turns moving to the Copper to mine that?
We can't do anything with the Cows for awhile, since we still need to get Hunting & AH. Can even move south to make a Farm on the FloodPlains yet since we don't have Agri either.
So basically the two options are mine in place or go mine the copper. I'm leaning towards mining the copper, but that will kinda waste worker moves both getting there and when I am actually ready to mine this hill that I'm on, since I'd have to use a turn moving back onto it again. Suppose I could mine this hill now, and the new worker in 2 turns can go mine the copper.
