Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

[Spoilers] BOBABOD!

I am always down for a Pokemon theme. I suspect one or more other teams might have the same idea though.

That's cool with Hippodromes giving a base +1 happy, I had thought they only switched horses for dyes and gave the slider bonus (and who runs the culture slider for happiness?). Def. happy with the combo then, it actually might be pretty strong. Two decent economic traits, paired with military bonuses to archery, gunpowder and a very nice mounted unit. Ideally get a religion for early culture and happiness, combine that with an increased happy cap from the UB (Drama is surely worth +2 happy everywhere if unhappiness is limit growth), and we've got a lot of bases covered.

Funny story, I was looking around the web for monster ideas, and it turns out that Wikipedia has a page for "Category: Mythological Horses." Nice! And then I see it has two sub-categories, one for Pegasi and Unicorns. Guess what those pages are cluttered with dozens of? rant

Thankfully we appear to be down from Peak Pony circa 2014, as Youtube has gone back to filling its recommended videos sidebar with screaming facecam manbabies, instead of an endless wall of soul-blasting MLP "parodies".

What will the next horrific neckbeard obsession be? I'm going to boldly predict A Land Before Time, a franchise so gratingly feeble that its main utility for its intended child audience is identifying which of their peers to bully.

lol

I don't know much about MLP. It was never a thing in Brazil (even though most pop culture things end up reaching here eventually), so I never even met a fan of it either. I started watching a documentary on it called "Bronies" (I think), but didn't go very far; not because it was bad, I stopped to do another thing and never came back.

But I know about The Land Before Time. lol I think I watched the movie more than 100 times when I was a kid. I really liked it. I know there are lots and lots of sequels, but those I've never seen. Interesting thing, the name of the movie in portuguese, literally translated to english, is "Searching for the Enchanted Valley". So, they completely owned all the sequels, making them not make sense: you stupid dinossaurs are in the Enchanted Valley already, why do you keep searching for it? That sort of thing gets to you when you are a kid, before you understand what a translation is.
