I only considered claiming the 2nd set of stone on what would've been Sareln's island because you took the islands between us, forcing me to expand in other directions. So again, your own fault.

Yeah, but that was still an island between you and Sareln... I honestly think that stone distribution treated me pretty badly. In the end I had 39 cities and I still was not close to claiming stone anywhere..

I'm not sure if you realised, but I had research visibility on you for quite a while, hence why I went down the Mil Sci path. I'd also gotten city visibility on a few of your cities nearish to mine shortly before the war, but I guess the removal of open borders caused me to lose that visibility when you decided that my theft of Viqsi's central city was unacceptable.

Yeah I monitored EP situation every turn and in the end you put so much more EPs on me that my approach was to spend just enough EPs on Viqsi that I could see her research and put the rest on you so that the EP difference between us would not grow too big. I did not know that you had already received city visibilty..

Sorry for any perceived slow turn pace from me, I have the occasional tendency to play my PBEM save, then a Pitboss turn, and forget about sending the PBEM save. There's also the occasional remember to update thread but forget to send the save thing that happens too.

That's okay. The turn pace was quite annoying at times so I used my own thread for raging a bit, but it's all fine. This is still just a game and during the last 20 turns I was often happy that I had not yet received a save, because the turns were so long

Really impressive game overall though, I hope the variable turn pace hasn't dissuaded you from playing more in the future!

That was the working boat sailing north of my territory, right? I realized that you had covered the east-west direction, so I was crossing my fingers that there is not another ship coming from the north to steal my WELL-DESERVED circumnavigation!
