RBP3 [Spoilers] Capac of Mali

I think we should aim to attack on turn 142. We'll have 10 catapults, 6 Muskets, 9 or 10 Cuirrassiers (plus whatever we can get from allies), 3 Maces, and 3 Pikes. Inca will likely switch to Nationhood and start drafting muskets, so every turn we delay the attack by means more muskets for them.

We thought they whipped a Settler here, but there's now a Forge in the city so apparently that's what they whipped.

I can't see the sabotage production numbers on any of the cities. I don't know if that means they switched all of their cities to new builds (in preparation for war, perhaps?), or if they have too many EPs on us for us to be able to even see the sabotage numbers. I wasn't aware that was possible though.

They haven't done any drafting yet, but I agree that if we attack then the sooner the better.

Inca hasn't adopted Nationhood (as I write) so no drafting for them so far. Good turn for England who completed AW and got a GE. They were planning to use the GP on a GA, unless it was a GE. They didn't say which Wonder they planned on using the GE for, but SoL would seem tempting.

With the units produced this turn and three cities drafted, we are now 2nd in power hammer I've set Sirian and Ruby Tuesday to Cuirassiers because 1 movers won't get to the front line in time for a T142 attack.

Blake popped borders (land points for us), so I switched to the plains forest from the cottage as it doesn't slow growth. Paint It Brown is working the cottage (and not the farm) and still grows next turn.

Inca seems to be retreating from the border area:

Those workers must have been there last turn to start roading on this turn.

This presents a (superficially) interesting alternative: swoop in a grab Inca's planned city for ourselves, artist bomb it, settle our two other spots in the Southern Desert region, and swat away any attacks from Inca & Rome (would also give us the chance to settle on the spices). Thoughts?

Turn not ended as we have plenty to discuss.

Can you mark where all those cities would be? I'm not sure where Inca was planning on settling or where our other spots would be.

My feeling is that it's best to attack now, while we have the power advantage. I think if we attack now we have a good chance of severely crippling them, and then we can settle where we want. Settling those cities as is would probably make the frontier hard to defend, as Inca and Rome would be able to attack us at 3-4 cities.

I'm not entirely sure though, let me know your thoughts.

Our cities are marked 'c' on the above, and Inca's spot is 1NE of their mini-stack.

I think you're probably right about pressing home our military advantage.

Let's at least take Kalin's Burgers. Then we can see what kind of resistance we expect in the rest of the cities and decide whether to press on with the attack or hold back and settle some more cities.

I'm not sure if these power numbers are right, as they show Inca decreasing in power for two turns in a row.

Our power this turn: 475K
Espionage Ratio: 184/137

It looks like they've directed their espionage elsewhere.

There's a lag in the graphs, so Inca's recent whipping would have affected their power. However, Gunpowder and the forge should increase their power, so it does look a bit weird.

Quiet turn all round. Double drafted Babylon Bridge to get the musket to the front on time, and stagnated Steel Wheels to get a 1t curry for the same reason.

IN foreign news, Maya completed Sankore, and someone got a GG. Given sunrise's post in the IT thread I think it might be India. Ottomans started a GA with the Artist they got last turn.
