I plan on reporting in the diplomacy sub forum. I recognize everybody here from the very trusting Civ4 games.

Don’t quote me on it, but I believe that you can check the board state with the backstabbr link even without joining the game. That info is public.

Looks like we're all good! In fact, it looks like we're only missing CMF himself joining the game as it shows him as missing despite being the game creator.

Yeah, I plan on doing some reporting of this. In fact, I'll create a subforum for this game, and I'll bump Diplomacy a bit higher up on the forum display since it's active again.

Before I join and start the game, do we want random countries, ranked choice, etc?

My preference is random.

Yeah I think I prefer random too after thinking it over. If for no other reason than to remove one more source of friction/delay to playing the game.
