With a 1f/3h tile + a 2h city tile the clowns almost certainly went for a warrior/worker opening. It will take 10 turns to build both (which coincides nicely with teching Agriculture out of the gate).
I would be very suprised if his capital is empty at this point.
Hello all, I am new to this forum and a friend of Heisenberg.
I have been playing FFH for some time already but not PBEM games.
It sounds pretty fun to me, so he told me to come in here as a lurker to see how it works before trying it out in the future.
Hopefully it isn't overcrowded in here... Nice to meet all of you

The clowns start with agriculture as well, but with that start it certainly wouldn't surprise me if they went warrior first.

Oooops. Forgot that the clowns start with ag....
If you take a look at his power graph you should be able to tell for certain one way or the other. (if he went warrior first, his power should have jumped by 3k on turn 3)
No events this turn. I forgot to mention that last turn we had the good-aligned great prophet for 50g event. Not like we'd be able to take the best option even as a good civ.
I talked to Kyan again, packing up to head home now so I'm not going to transcribe the exact words yet. He needed me to agree to a nap till T10 so that he didn't have to build a warrior in his capital to stop my scout with warcry. After some deliberation I agreed, even though I think he'd have had to have the foresight to put a turn of production in a warrior after seeing my scout to really stop me. He had foolishly promised not to attack my scout vulnerably positioned on desert terrain last turn, and that promise was related to the dungeon exploring thing, which was also resolved (I'll go over that in the end).
We talked a good bit more on how we could remain peaceful despite being squashed so close to each other. I decided to let him know I knew where is capital is from a hut map and how far away from each other.
1. He doesn't want to give up fuschia dot without a very good NAP as he's worried about me hitting his capital with warcried horses from it.
2. He's willing to do a lot in return. Stuff like full info sharing, letting me know if a dogpile is being organized against me, he's promised two 10t mana palace loans, one of mind mana and one on a mana of my choice. He leaked that he's going to be getting control of the mirror of heaven at some point and that as such sun mana is an option, which is nice if I want to settle the north in the mid-late game. Also he's more than willing to lend me the marble to build my two epics when I need it. He's even offering to commit military to defend me as long as he can survive to be able to play with the clown toys. In his own words he wants to be "my selrahc from FFH PBEM I" in exchange for a lengthy nap.
The rub of course is that with the mirror of heaven knowledge it seems like he has lush floodplains deserts to his north AND south, and I probably can't get fuschia dot unless I really jump into bed with the clowns.
However for now I've only agreed on the following:
1. A NAP till T10.
2. Neither of us will explore the dungeon in between us without being able to deal with all negative consequences personally (essentially no exploring without surrounding it with warriors until we get more high tech military).
Anyways some screenshots, have to make this quick as I'm packing up to head home. More details on the diplo will come later.
That new city site idea gets to work the plains wheat and the reagents (a 2f/1h/4c hammer for financial, not that bad) from palace culture.
Demographics:
Someone almost certainly has a coastal capital, the elves are still stuck with their two starting scouts, and someone either built a warrior or popped one from a hut.

lol he clearly left his capital unguarded and you would have been in in 2 turns haha thats definitely not enough time to finish up a warrior if he hasn't already started on one.
Yeah I suppose but he should have been allowed to attack my scout with his warrior in that case. If his warrior wasn't right next to my scout I wouldn't have accepted the NAP.
Fairly uneventful. The grigori receive a significant score increase to 50, seems like a tech and a pop point from demographics (more on that later).
The clowns send a roleplaying greeting.
Salut!
Well met!
Ahoy!
A thousand greetings upon you my (horse) lord and welcome to the Balseraph Palace. Please, muddy your shoes by the door, pick up a hat from the rack and come on through. We have much to discuss...
As you step inside, what can only be described as 'music' begins to play quietly in the background.
Unfortunately, ill tidings have met the Balseraph civilization recently. Our Lord Perpentach is missing, Keelyn is ill with grief or eaten by demons. All i know is that when i try to open her bedroom door, flames llick their way down the corridor and the urge for suicide becomes almost uncontrollable. Ahem, maybe we shouldn't be worrying our fine guests with some dim tidings? Come, come, for we have temporary leaders! May i please introduce:
The formerly disposed and temporarily in charge again until Perpentach returns or Keelyn stops being emo- Clown Kings!
note: This looks...better in the original gmail.
Yes, that wasn't quite as impressive as it looked in my head. Nothing is nowadays. Maybe i should get a smoke machine? Hang on, whats one of those? Change our research path immediately, we don't want a calendar- we want smoke and mirrors dammit! Obviously, as you can tell from our appearance, we want nothing but peace between our fine nations. Come, let us discuss how best we might entertain one another...
[Insert conversation between Kyan and Rawkking here]
A-ha, i knew you were fine horse riders, but your diplomacy skill matches that at the least! The juggling balls, as they say, are in your court...
What say you?
Need to compose a roleplaying reply in the next couple of days as well as figure out how we're going to cooperate in a way that isn't going to get me knee deep in clown puppet summons after the fact.
I move my scout, one turn to the hut...
Turn 7
The hippus receive a useful event!
Not going to impact much, but a free 15 beakers puts us 15 beakers closer to our overall research goals.
Moving the scout reveals that the hut has already been taken. Moving onto the hill the hut was on reveals a balseraph scout one turn away from us
Demographics:
The new GNP leaders are the clowns with their creative +2 GNP, effectively matching us and judging by this and their roleplaying e-mail, researching calendar. They're no longer working their ivory plains forest and seem to be working their flood plains tile instead. IE: they've finished their worker.
Both the Elohim and Grigori are at pop 2 already, though as this is FFH2 that could easily be the refugee event and not them going warrior first.
