With his two turns of good fortune, Elimist has sealed the fate of the Calabim. And with them, I think the game. Elimist should be choking the elves in the next few turns. If they manage to get enough defence together to prevent swift death, the Doviello will still have a stranglehold on the game.
Good play by Elimist, helped by that little bit of luck that Charadon absolutely needs to have to win.

Elimists worker based plan has a very big flaw. It assumes peace with the Barbarians. I'd say that with the taking of Santa Monica, Elimist will pass more than 50% above the nearest competitors score and lose peace with the barbs.

It's got a secondary flaw as well. He's intending to use it against Mist. Mist's seen this before

Well, so I'm dead...
I'll read the other spoiler threads later. I just looked at Ellimist thread to see his odds in the decisive combat.
I can't believe on how much my bloodpet was damaged by a strenght 2 wolf with -25% attacking cities. A very unlucky blow...

Just so everyone know, I wasn't talking about ending the game when Sareln and bob were rushed because the doviello had a too great advantage. I just thought that the game wouldn't be fun and it would end up in a 2 vs. 1. That's all. Ellimist went all defensive in his thread about it, but it had nothing to do with him.
A early second city is not a big advantage under the conditions the doviello had. Keeping bob's capital was a mistake. I was confident I could contain the doviello and I should have been able to if it wasn't for Ellimist overall luck in this game. He lost one wolf taking down both me and bob and he popped 3 hut techs at least.
Sorry for the harsh tone, but this whole "Ichabod was giving up" talking kind of annoyed me. This game should have ended in a boring 2 vs. 1 or a boring 1 vs. 1 stalemate while the 3rd guy tech away situation. Unfortunately for me the RNG decided to disagree.

Understood. Most of the comments were based on the initial post in the tech thread though, and you explained yourself in more detail a little later in your own thread, I think.

Yeah...
Sorry if I overreacted a bit on my previous post. I always thought the players overreacted after reading the lurker threads and other players threads regarding things that had been said about them. Guess I know how it feels and why they do it now.

That's one of the problems with reading threads after the game. You never know what the people who posted read.

Ellimist v. Mist
Chatted with Mist some today, he stated (and Ellimist just confirmed in his thread) that Ellimist has been trying to keep his score below the x1.5 mark. I suppose my question for that is, if Ellimist has so many promoted and available units, why not declare on the barbs, seize Orthus' axe, and otherwise start training units on everything? Keeping your score artificially low is just keeping Mist in the game IMO.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, he's deliberately gimping his snowball. It's depressing seeing all those cities on "avoid growth". Mist isn't breaking out anytime soon, Ellimist should be further strangling Mist's expansion and burning down those 2/1/1 cottages before Mist can even grow them.

Ellimist is using the last trait of the Barbarian i think, which is to hire Wolf Riders. He's aiming for killing Mist outright ASAP, not turning it into a late game.
If you're looking for turning it into a late game, then yes declaring war on the barbs would be best. But given his intention to use Horsemen/Wolf Riders against Archers (not a bad deal, actually), Ellimist is far better off using his Barbarian Trait.
By the way, although Charadon is semi-useless, Ellimist is really showing off the potential of Charadon by utilizing every single thing Charadon can do (Upgrade, Lucian Rush, Barbarian Trait, Goblin Forts). The fact that he still has a slight chance to win after everything says a lot about Charadon though...
