Looking for a rule clarification on the added diplomacy. We can ask each other to declare war on someone or stop trading with someone. Does this mean no extra information like "on turn X", and if one agrees to declare war or stop trading, then he needs to do it immediately? And HAS to do it, no bluffing?

I think its just meant to add everything you can do w/ an AI in a SP game. You can't ask an ai to "declare war on turn x." You can ask them to "make peace with civ x," though, so we should be able to do that as well in a deal. or I guess "change religion" or "change civic," although it does seem unlikely any of these would come up <G>.

I've gone back and forth. I'm fine with us treating it as though it was in-game. that said, i think that we should, in fact, include the turn we are asking for (it should be either the current turn or the next one), so if someone doesn't get the message for some reason and it's 3 turns later, they don't just declare.

They should get the message as the diplo screen should come up as soon as they enter the game.
My interpretation is that if the deal is accepted, war must be declared immediately from that point

I think someone paused the game. I logged back in after ending turn to make a micro change and there's a trade window up. If someone isn't around to unpause I'll just leave the game connected and hope I don't keep metra from logging in.
