Looking good!
I like your plan for a quick second city to grab the copper. We need Wheel to connect Copper to our Capitol, so that's a good tech choice. Pottery next for cottages sounds great as well, need to get Financial into play.
So Hunting - Wheel - Pottery - Agri - AH
I'd like to see a warrior start scouting north as well to get a look at the land there. If we want to keep our Capitol save, we should settle a ring of cities around it.
Remember that we need workers as well! Lots of them....

Settlers/workers/military should give us a decent chance to get to a good position. I have no illusion that we can afford to do any sort of farmer's gambit with Pindicooter and Lewger nearby. PB 12 spoiler

That would be Azza (who we actually met ~2 turns ago but I didn't remember to post the screenshot). Still waiting to slave out the worker but only two more turns until we can do so. Gaul will start heading back so we can explore to the north of Rhu. Besides that, not much else going on right now.

Lots of nice resources to be had.
Enough OF to finish the warrior in 1t. On track to get out a settler at size 2 then we're going to need another worker. The demos...
Bottom of the scoreboard. Still confident that grabbing the copper asap is the correct play here. The copper site will be a good production city to get up and running early (even if all the city does is build military units for the empire).

The copper site is even better than we could originally see...
Really doesn't change our tech path but does give us another research option after we finish AH. Cheap walls will most likely be useful and if we have any excess hammers, either the Mids or GW would have uses. However, getting our economy going is the priority and we want to settle the nearby good city locations first before even considering any wonders. Based on what we have revealed of the map so far, Sailing, Writing and Masonry are all good tech choices after AH. We also probably need IW really early to be able to settle northward since it looks like there is quite a lot of jungle up there. Gaul should be able to find out pretty soon. The demos...
Slow start for us but I think BW first was the right decision. Although the wheat is our best food tile, the clam and cow tiles both give us better early yields (commerce for research and hammers so we don't have to slave every build). Although Pottery before Agri might seem suspect, early granaries will give us the superior long term benefit. If we're going to reach IW (or even Monarchy) in a reasonable time frame then we absolutely need to lay down cottages asap. Rhu should grow fast enough even without the wheat to work cottages as they come online. We will need the wheat improved to get out the settler for our third city (most likely the GH plant to help work cottages for the capitol).
The chop will speed up the settler by 3t. Might also chop the PHF to further shave off another 2t although starting to road out towards the copper site is a good option as well. Rhu can then grow to size 3 on another warrior (most likely help scout/spawn bust the fog near our capitol) and then build a worker which we will 1 pop whip. The whipped worker will then chop out the second worker and we can then build a granary since we should have Pottery finished by that time.

Gaul is slowly uncovering more of the fogged tiles around our capitol...
The land is going to need a lot of work but with enough workers (and Calendar) the land is cottage heaven (even with the nerf to Financial trait). I'd drop a city right where Gaul is standing. It looks to me like working mass cottages (to field a strong military for defense and still tech well) and measured expansion (to hit IW/Calendar and Monarchy asap) is the best short term strategy to take. I don't see any reason so far to even consider doing any sort of rush. We now have graphs on Lewger...
They went BW first too which makes total sense given the amount of forests they have around their capitol. It seems Lewger doesn't consider us a threat (0 EP on us), and we are pretty far away (Azza is much much closer to them), so I went ahead and switched EPs to Azza (but we still have half our points on Pindicooter trying to get graphs) since that seems like the better play. The demos...
FWIW.

Great! How do things stand here and do you want me to take over as turnplayer?

Feel free to take over.
I'll play the turn for PB12 shortly so I'll make a report afterwards (in that thread ofc).
Hope you had a great vacation!
