What a Moai/Colossus spot... if only it had more food...

Thinkin 2N1E next.

I'd go for 2NE since that lands us on a hill, and it looks like the tile 1N of the Sheep is a flatland next to the coast.

Probably didn't really matter which tile we landed on, wouldn't reveal anything different either way and the obvious move is 1NW of here to take advantage of our 2 moves.

Yeah, maybe 1NW-1N.

Very nice stuff in the northwest, but not what we were hoping to see in the east.

Damn, looking a bit barren so far everywhere except the northwest.

Next Scout move seems clear, 1NE-1SE. I'd like to explore around the north then double back to the south, so we can get at least the potential 1st ring city sites revealed before we inevitably get eaten by an Emperor Bear. lol

Huh, tundra and ice to the west is a bit weird. Artistic license from the mapmaker, or hinting at a tilted axis mapscript?

I logged back in and changed our tile assignments to this:

So, this completes the workboat in 2 turns, and, because we have 6 food in the bin now, we'll have 12 in the bin when the fish is connected, meaning that we'll grow to size 2 in 2 turns. I think that puts us at size 2 at the same turn, but with less food in the bin. How much does this set us back in the intermediate-term?
