CIV VI PBEM Organizing Thread

I successfully started the test game. The website asked me to generate a map with the players, play the first turn and submit the save. The save file is uploaded on the site and it's showing that it's yuris' turn now. Let's go through the turn order cycle 2-3 times to test the client.

yuris: Did you get an email or any other reminder telling you that it's your turn now?

I did get an email; assuming it works similarly to GMW, there should also be a notification in the client, but I don't have it running atm. I don't have access to Civ6 during the holiday (that's why we can't start until I'm back!)

The PYDT client seems to be working for me. Should we try another test game with the other three of us, just to do a quick trial run?

Thanks for setting up the second test game teh. However, since tomorrow is February 12th, we can probably go ahead and get started with the preparations for our actual PBEM game. We should probably try to set up the game in a logical order for playing the turns on a daily basis. When is everyone's most likely time window to play the turn? I'm located on the east cost of North America, and I will be free to play my turns in the evenings, which will be about midnight GMT. What works best for everyone else?

CET here, which will mean my turns are best at 8 a.m. GMT or 8 p.m. GMT.

Yeah, let's get this rolling I'm in the UK, most reliable play window is 2300-0100 GMT

I'm also on the North American east coast, so I can do evening turns similar to Sullla: ~11 pm to ~5 am GMT.

The turn order seems to be the order people join the game in PYDT, starting with the person who created the game.

Based on those posts, it sounds to me like our turn order should probably go TheArchduke -> Yuris -> myself - teh. Since teh has been creating the games for us, why don't we try joining the game in this order:

Yuris
Sullla

I suspect that the turn order doesn't matter overmuch, but I'm fine to go last regardless. How does that sound to everyone?
