I'm fine with the settings and have no strong opinion about the pick method.

Looks like someone gets to double up on dedlurk!
Id give it another day or two, for anyone else to say they protest the settings/pick method/dedlurker method. If Elum doesnt post before then, then someone gets 2 dedlurkers.
As far as Actual map goes... id love to try a donut, but anything the great commodore can come up with should be fine.

So, snakepick is that we pick a leader one after the other, and then pick civs in the reverse order, right?
Could someone explain how the PB38 method works?

Snakepick is we all get randomized in an order. First person on list gets first choice of leader or civ, and then they also get LAST choice of leader/civ. and the rest follow. see PB39 startup thread- http://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/showt...67&page=11 - PB38 method i believe, someone randomized all the civs+ leaders. ( 2 leaders + a civ each ) and threw that at each person. they could choose a leader, and pass the civs, or pick a civ and pass the leaders. You couldnt toss a leader in, and try and lock in 1 leader without "choosing" it.
