Isn't Krill's reasoning similar to that of Adrien on PB23? Grudge wars does not seem to be that uncommon though opening up with definitely dubious statement like giving 1000gpt to TBS did make us perceive his actions in much more critical light.

Terrifying. Those guys dont fight fair. Honorable, yes. But fair? No.

They are champs of the FFA, even if someone (maybe) could beat them in a fair duel.

And excellent reporting makes it that much sweeter! popcorn

Agree with this. Krill's black-and-white views rub many wrong. He is overstating the righteousnes of his grudge. BGN really should have known this wpuld happen though. In fact he did, he posted something that turn about "the moment I lost the game"

Both guys are below average on the Scooter scale of empathy. Krill probably isnt on the scale at all! (And would probably say empathy is weak :lol)

I'm somewhat confused by the perspective that whipping population away to nothing and pillaging towns is distasteful but gifting your army away and declaring vendetta out of spite is aokay.

It's not how I like to play, or intend to play in response to in game actions, but I think playing with the purpose of screwing up another players game based on actions independent to that game is a legitimate play choice. Whether it's right or reasonable is another matter, but then we're arguing specifics rather than issues with that general style.

Your rage or anger in response is also, of course, legitimate in turn.

As an addendum to this: BGN, your entire problem is based on the fact that you think that Krill had no ingame reason to do what he did. In the same paragraph, you mark an obvious cause (the attack on Krill). Therefore surely the problem evaporates.

Certainly there are other issues that can and are being raised. But in distilling it to the matter of, to quote Coleridge, motiveless malignancy means that that is the issue with which you have the most problem, and if you acknowledge that there is a potential cause, than it comes down to whether or not that is enough of a motive, and what you've said elsewhere implies that you think that a motive on this scale does excuse these actions.

So I struggle to sympathize with BGN here. I think he's reacting instinctively with rage, and simply confirmation bias and the heat of the moment is causing him to take all of Krill's actions badly, when his posts otherwise show that he would normally support this.

Hey !! I'd be happy to discuss it in my thread but I see the two situations as very different.

I think my worst read of any of my game opponents was the one I did of FinHarry in PB13. I thought they were enthusiastic newbees that would eventually have their sandcastles crushed by Mack and just tilt over it. As it turns out, though, they are the definition of the word "ruthless". I'd probably just concede on the spot if I ever play another game as their neighbour. scared

Edit: I can't bear to look at the screenshots from that war. It's just too much cruelty. lol

You got in some good licks against William and Xenu though!

Sucks to be the victim of XP farming, and especially having your ships burned in port! alright

Lots of us underestimated them though... no one does now.

Well it looks like the 1000 gpt was krill blowing off steam... I was hopeful that he would do it because he did something like this with SANTCA but that situation was totally different.

Krill can be against spite-whipping while being for his actions because spite-whipping is a response to a legitimate attack while BGN's actions were "atrocious" according to Krill. If I were playing I put more weight that they are making me lose rather than if the attack is legitimate but I can see Krill's logic.

The logic of Krill is simple is it him that does the deed or is it happening to him.
