I looked it over, it was fine with me. I say go ahead and send it.

Okay - sent the note to Portugal

As for Exploit - one thought I had was wanting to tie the NAP to a settling agreement. That should hopefully buy us some time

The other thing we could add is asking to level off EPs once we hit 43 each. I'm not going to have time to stitch these all up till about 2pm EST so if someone else wants to send it off, go for it.

The other thing is that it's not that bad if we delay sending, since we're just stalling, right?

They are always useful as MP.

I guess I would say do you want a Chariot/Warrior out of the Forest or a Fast Worker. That's really the choice; they end up being the exact same number of hammers. Also, if we build the Fast Worker we don't grow, and we whip a citizen working an improved Horse tile. If we build a Warrior we grow, our whip will be a grassland Mine tile (assuming this would be a second Chariot). So we can squeeze out two Chariots almost immediately with this course of action. If we go with a Fast Worker we face the unpleasant choice of whipping a 2/3/1 tile or waiting 4 turns to grow.

Okay fine with me (post to stop a potential darrell string)

True, but we've already waited some time. There comes a point when he just gives up on us. It is kind of moot since everything revolves on him having Copper.

I'll add the EP and settling agreement text.

Also wanted to point out that the spreadsheet really is not up to date on people's tech choices - it's impossible to tell what techs people are researching.

I am trying to keep the Techs sheet up to date with at least when people research them.

Once we get Alpha (and meet everyone) then obviously that will be much easier

Updated Exploit draft:

Quote:We are sorry you feel that way. We won't be settling any cities in your area anytime soon, hopefully this will give you time to cool off and we can still reach some kind of understanding. Our offer for OB and a Mysticism/Masonry for Writing trade remain on the table.

As to the NAP, we've discussed this quite a bit internally. Its a pretty long time frame for a NAP, so it seems reasonable that we have some kind of border arrangement or settling agreement to go along with it. Also, do you want us to approach Portugal on your behalf or are you negotiating the NAP with them separately? It was not clear to us what you were looking for.

A final point would be EP spending. Currently you have 4 on us and we have 4 on you. Do we want to keep this up or do we want to back off at some point so we can focus them elsewhere? It seems like as long as we have the same amount on each other there is no difference between 4 or 2 or even 0.

Change the last paragraph to:

A final point would be EP spending - many other teams have proposed an arrangement with us that we both spend enough EPs to each be able to see the others' graphs, and then stop spending. We believe that it's 43EP apiece is the "magic" number where we can both see each others' graphs. Would such an arrangement work for you?

Uh...apparently I already sent it duh. Do you want me to send a follow-up or just clarify that the next round of communication?
