Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

[SPOILERS] A threesome becomes a twosome

I ran a hotseat test, and it worked exactly as plako describes. Fireballs and Floating Eyes hung around until the barbs finished their turn. I was misremembering because I'd been intentionally deleting my Floating Eyes to keep the bad guys from killing them for XP. After this deletion, my teammates (and my civ as well) lost the vision they'd been providing.

Most of our mage stack has been blinded. Our chances in this game are very low.

I'm ready to concede. We're not gonna be able to do anything to stop them after this. We can protect our core probably, but attacking them just wouldn't be possible.

Things are bad, but I'd like to play on for a while. We can still kill some of their stack, and will be able to move everyone in the turn after this one. We still threaten their core cities, and I think there's too much stuff in our stack for them to kill it.

They'll surely kill everything we've in that stack that we can't move to safety, but sure we can continue trying.

How do they kill our stack? You redlined their remaining cats, and it looks like they moved them so no healing. We should be able to kill most of their vampires in Eiesswein. We'll have a bunch of units on defensive terrain, with 5% fortify bonus. Then we can go back on the attack after our mages and adepts regain their movement.

I attacked Eiesswein. It went ... okay. Snowfall barely scratched the top vampire, and a couple of the moroi were very strong and gave me lots of trouble. In my inevitable banghead move, I attacked a spectre with one of my mages instead of moving to the staging tile duh duh. On the good side, I won a couple 60% battles with my mages.

End result: killed a vampire, two moroi, a couple chariots, and the radiant guard.

I ran a floating eye mission in the northwest, revealing a stack (ogre, two wolf riders, workers) mining an iron tile, then paused the game.

I forgot about your fireball mud golems. Things would have gone a lot better if I'd dropped some fireballs on the stack first, but you can still probably get a kill with each fireball.

You should have moved everything you can to safety. Now you had to move everything you can to protect that stack and most of the new units will surely be blinded.

I'll use the fireballs and move my golems in, but there is a decent chance we lose Gibbon and other Mages when they play. They can afford to waste resources to get that stack down.

Arranged you 3 sun manas so that we can have our own Blinding light guys in case we end up in trouble. Also another Death node since Skeletons are pretty important Adept level summon for us.

Killed 2*chariots + Ratha with Fireballs. Also in the North used fireballs to kill Ogre.
